The first jam x I ordered was defective however I did purchase mine very soon after launch so it may just be a case of early adopter issues. Once I got the replacement I was shocked. This thing is awesome. I've put probably 30 hours through it this week and I've switched to it for my main interface. I have a scarlet solo and an audient id4. I've been maining the audient for the last year. If I had to tell you which has a better quality between the jam x and the id4 it would be tough, but the jam x has one major advantage, the analog compressor. I run several neural dsp plug-ins regularly and the jamx just makes things so much easier. All 3 presets are awesome, I can find a use for atleast 1 of the 3 in any of the tones I've used. Additionally, while I was having issues with my first jamx apogee support was fast in replying to my messages within 24 hours, they gave me good instructions and screenshots to troubleshoot things. If your on the fence thinking about buying this or not, give it a try it will surprise you.

Downloaded and installed the Windows 11 drivers, connected to laptop, and opened DAW.Got it up and running when, after only a few seconds, the signal was reduced to a high-pitched distortion.Disconnected and tried again. Same results. Tried it on a different system running a different host application and got the same results.The center level knob and compressor selector also came loose and fell off, literally by turning the unit on it's side to reposition it on my work space. At this price point it is truly a rip off. Poor build quality and the sound? Awful.It's boxed up and on it's way back for a full refund.A Focusrite Scarlet interface is in the shopping basket.
