This knife has some issues with the way the grips fit the tang, not a flush fit everywhere. The sheath is adequate but the sheath liner is a thin sheet of plastic that I have go be careful not to cut when inserting the blade.The blade itself, however, is excellent for this price. It is razor sharp right out of the box. I was slicing thru paper with ease with no sharpening required. Even the gut hook slices thru paper, and those are not always sharp on a budget knife. That impressed me.I did try removing the scales from the handle to cut my own replacements, and it appears the screw threads have been glued tight. I could get them off with some work, I imagine. They’re not going anywhere on their own, thats for sure. Even with the less than perfect fit, they’re sufficient for its purpose.This is a specialty knife that is good at that one specific task. It is an essential knife for cutting slick, tough materials. This is a good option for a backup, and good enough to be a go-to. The handle is nothing special, really as basic as it gets, but it works and is attached firmly. The notches in the tang and grip do provide some added traction, even if they do not meet perfectly.Impressive sharpness, solid design, not bad at all for ten bucks. Good value.

OSAIV Fixed Blade Hunting Knife is well made and the included sheath keeps the sharp blade safe. The blade is very sharp and holds a nice edge. The handle is made of wood, but feels cheap so that maybe the only knock on it. Overall it's a great knife and a good value.

I like this style knife for gutting and skinning deer, and I am pleased with this one. The blade is hair-shaving sharp right out of the package. I like the deep gut hook that will stay on track and not slip out when processing an animal. The handle is substantial and feels good in the hand, though I'd love to see the handle edges rounded off a bit more for more comfort. There are grooves in all the right spots on the handle to provide a secure grip while you're working. The sheath holds the knife well, and secures it with a tight snap.
