Great for shadowing tools, easy to cut and tought enough not to easily rip

I wanted to put my power tools in foam in my tool boxes. Combined with electric foam cutter this was perfect size to fit in my different tool boxes.

Worked great for the use!

I come from a military background in aviation repair and always shadow my toolboxes. This foam is a great quality foam but is only one color. You do get two sheets of different thicknesses. (1" and 2") I have an electric hot knife that I use for cutting the foam with so it is super easy to cut out the shapes. I have larger tools that the 2" foam works great for and then a few drawers of smaller wrenches, sockets, etc. that the 1" foam works for. I like to also make small labels for each size of tool and then very slightly cut in a place for the label at each tool, lay in the label and then cover with a clear epoxy so that it doesn't ever go anywhere or get lost. That way I have a very easy way to identify my tools and tell what tool is out of the box as well as where to replace multiple tools when I have them all out. There are other tool foam brands out there that are multi colored so that shadowing is much easier and cost a little less but this set of foam is definitely durable and should last for quite some time.

I put this on the bottom of my long tool boxes to protect the long tools I carry such as pole saws, etc.

I have a LOT of tools. Some may say I have too many. I think not. In one of my toolboxes I have several complete sets of wrenches and ratchet wrenches that are cuttently taking up 2 large drawers. The problem is they are loose in the drawers and almost impossible to keep in any sort of order. This foam could be the solution to that problem. The foam itseld is a good quality and dense foam. Be sure to use somethhing over 2" long to make a clean cut all the way through the 2" foam. Over 1" long for the 1" foam. Obviously shorter blades will work when cutting patterns in the foam for the tools. Good deal for just 2 pieces of foam? Personally I think it's a little expensive but by the time I get everything in place I'm sure I will think it's worth every penny. Easy to recommend.

I Purchased 10 of these and none are 48 long. All are measuring 47 and close to 3/4 but no two are the same. The whole point was for 48" long sections. Now none of these will fit correctly
