Q: Does the UPF50+ coating ones really make a difference? Is it designed in the Netherland and made in the Netherland?

Thanks for asking! The UPF50+ coating really makes a big difference. This coating is designed to block 99% of UV rays, so it protects you from the sun. When you hold a Tumella umbrella with a design against the sun, you will not see any sunlight coming through. When we designed this umbrella in the Netherlands, we thought it would be a good idea to use this coating because, firstly, it protects from the sun, but also it creates a beautiful black background for our designs. Please note that only our umbrellas with designs have this UPF50+ coating applied. Our solid colors (black, navy blue, green, etc.) do not have this coating applied and are sun-resistant with T210 fabric. We chose not to apply this coating to the solid colors because they would have a black top instead of being full color

Q: What is the open DIAMETER? Please stop giving us the measurement over the dome; that is misleading. We need to know the bottom DIAMETER when open.

Q: What is the depth of the canopy/bowl when open?

Hello Phesbe! Thanks for a great question. We have checked it and the depth of the canopy is about 20cm or 7.9 inches. Hope this helps you!

Q: If I hit this with my car, will my car really break into pieces? We sometimes air out the umbrellas after use in our garage.

Hitting an umbrella with your car should not cause your car to break into pieces. However, it's always best to avoid hitting any objects with your car to prevent any potential damage. I hope this helps!
