My daughter loves this, she wanted it to try new things and liked the idea of a crochet kitShe used to love nitting as well and this was perfect for the beginner that she is.

I am a total beginner to crocheting but thought I'd order this little kit of six mini cactuses and see how I got on.The kit itself comes in a really nice packaging with the thread, hooks and everything else needed to make the cactuses are all included. This makes it suitable for a gift, if you don't want to keep it for yourself.The instructions are basic but do make sense. I didn't try the video link that comes with the kit as I know an expert crocheter so I was able to ask her any questions I had. I don't usually rely on in-kit instructions for crafting anyway as I find that other online videos are usually excellent.I haven't finished my first cactus as yet so can't share a photo on here but even if it doesn't look like the intended final item, I'll be happy knowing that I made it myself. I recommend this kit.

It has been a fantastic way to spend my free time, and it's very gratifying to see the end results of my work.

This set arrives squished into a resealable plastic bag, which has one annoying flaw.The sides of the bag have been sealed so you can't open the bag all the way across the top, so when it's full it's really hard to get things out of the bag or put them back in.That's fine if you are going to keep the contents out of the bag, but annoying for me as I wanted to keep them in it - does get easier though as you use the contents up.This set contains everything you need to create the super cute contents (I love the way the little cacti turned out) & would be a nice starter set for anyone trying out crochet for the first time.The projects are small, the instructions are clear & there are instruction videos you can look up which are very well done.I've kept the instructions as I'm sure I'll make more of these little cacti in the future.Really nice set.

The kit contains everything needed, including an amount of yarn for practising with. The instructions sent with the kit were not very clear - the videos may have helped to clear up how to crochet, but as something I wanted to try for stress relief, trying to get my head around the instructions just didn't work for me. Lovely design and kit, just not right for me.

I've always wanted to try my hand at crochet, so when a beginners set became available I decided to try it. I opted for the set of cacti as I love the houseplant trend at the minute and thought they looked super-cute.The set includes everything to make them, including the eyes etc. There are fairly clear instructions to follow, but it turns out I'm not very good at following instructions! I just got frustrated with it in the end and a crocheter friend stepped in to finish the job! She did say they were very easy compared to other sets she's made and she loved them so much she made another set with some spare wool.Gorgeous set - ideal for someone who's a bit 'crafty' to start with!

This is a great crochet set for beginners, including everything you need to make four, very cute, mini cactus toys.I was impressed with the quality of the materials, the hook is comfortable to hold and the yarn easy to work with. The instruction booklet is well designed and clear to follow too and I found the video guides invaluable - I did have to slow them down a bit at first but the commentary and demos are really helpful in getting started.I have tried crochet before but find it quite tricky, so these little projects are great for building confidence and skill. The designs are adorable and fun as well - I imagine anyone who enjoys crochet would be happy to receive one of these kits as a gift!
