If you own a pro series Kitchen Aid mixer, buy this. It actually scrapes the side of the bowl- unlike the beater that comes with the mixer. Kitchen Aid should be including one of these with every mixer.

Large gaps between beater edge and bowl. I bought it because it had scrapers on both sides, whereas my kitchenaid version has only a single-sided scraper. Watch the video to hear the horrible screeching when I turn on my mixer. This Chinese knockoff would likely destroy my mixer if I tried to use it.

I waited a bit to write this review for the simple reason other products like this one tend to crack their rubber parts over time... not this one though. This has held up for months so far and shows no wear. I highly recommend this product.

I bought one of these for myself and LOVE it... It scrapes the sides on my KitchenAid bowl which is so nice and makes baking a lot easier... I love mine so much that I bought one as a gift to give to my sister... She now loves hers as well. She pulls it out all the time now while baking. This fits perfectly and works like a charm!

I really wanted to love this paddle. I bought it as a back up for the standard paddle that comes with a KA 6qt PRO. This paddle is a hair too big for the bowl this resulting in a HORRIBLE screeching sound and slowing the motor. I’d say only but as a back if you’re in a pinch.I make cookies for a living and I literally had to stop using this paddle because I was afraid my KA was bust. If this was a hair smaller all around this would be perfect.

This beater is supposed to make it so you don't have to scrape the bowl as often, but I had to scrape it more than usual because it made everything go above the beater and not get mixed in (see picture). It also made my liquid cake batter fly out of the bowl. Something that has never happened with any other beater.

This model G1801 Did Not fit my model KP26M1. I was unable to adjust the lift arm for flex edge to work.The item is also Way too stiff.

It is better than the original that comes with the mixer

I've been looking for one of these silicone-edged beaters for a long time, being put off by the warnings to the effect of "will not work with mixers bought from Costco or Sam's Club". This one works well with our KV25MCXER (a model number which doesn't appear in the list of compatible mixers), which was indeed bought from a Costco Canada warehouse in October, 2010. Our bowl is straight sided, the mixer has a bowl-lift lever, and is labelled "Professional 550HD".

Any recipe calling for creaming butter is just about impossible using the beater that comes with the machine, a real disappointment with the purchase of the KitchenAid Pro 600. The next disappointment was the $40+ price tag for the Flex Edge Beater attachment that should have been included with the price of the machine. When they suddenly appeared on sale for $30, I grabbed one and now I have the complete machine I always wanted will feeling that I wasn’t fully taken for a ride. Finally, creaming butter and sugar for Cranberry Shortbread Bars is as it should be - not a big deal. Great stuff!

Works very well. If you're using this with the larger Kitchaid mixer which is challenged with small-to-medium mixing batches, this is definitely the paddle which will leave no ingredients against the sides of the bowl. Some people have complained about squeaking - which it DOES, but only if you're running the bowl empty. I'm not sure why you'd do that. Once I throw butter, or batter, in there, the squeaking stops.Easy to clean. It says it's top rack dishwasher rated, but so far it's been easy enough to clean in the sink by hand that I've just done that.Quite happy with this.

Wow! I bought this because our original one has made an impromptu run in the dishwasher. I'm almost happy that we had to replace it with this one. It is just SO MUCH better than the original one. No more need to scrape the sides of the bowl. Truly works great, Very happy with it. And this one is dishwasher safe .Don't forget to adjust the screw for the bowl height when using it :)
