Functionally not the same as original BMW latch - indoor handle double-lockout missing
This device would have worked, but the part I was given was unfinished. The three mounting bolt holes were there, but not thread tapped. Very hard to screw bolts into untapped holes.Additionally, while checking the operation before trying to bolt it into the car, it was obvious that the indoor handle would always unlock the door if pulled while locked. This is different from the factory part where the indoor handles will not unlock the doors unless the center button is pressed on the console.

Original hardware doesn't fit
Original hardware doesn't fit. I tried a few different sizes of screws before I realized the holes are not machined.. Unless you have a drill press, I wouldn't recommend.
