Carbide Tipped Woodturning Chisel (Round) (UK Tools)

Another good value chisel that is more economical than many others on the market, it also works well for my purposes.Only issue (minor) I have had, is that, unlike another purchased at the same time, the steel shaft very quickly rusted in the rack, even before my first use. Have cleaned off the rust and waxed the shaft!

I've finally got around to using this & decided to give it a bit of a beating to replace my roughing gouge, and it has performed extremely well. Like all carbide tools, it will tear rather than cut the wood fibres so it isn't suited to finishing work, but for stock removal it is very fast, very stable, and can stand up to a fair bit of kickback without bending too. I'm really glad I bought it & would recommend it to anyone who is sick of trying to sharpen a roughing gouge. It's a better investment than specialist stones/hones; just swap back to traditional HSS once you've got the basic shape you want.

This is my first carbide woodturning chisel, my other chisels are HSS. I'll never buy another HSS chisel. This carbide chisel is a 100% + tool. Highly recommend it.

New to carbide turning tools, very happy with the quality of the tool. It was bought with a particular task in mind, I'm turning deep sided bowls and needed something to finish the inner sides / base.Very happy with the results

This tool has revolutionised my woodturning. I work with hardwoods and resin. I usually spend about a quarter of my time sharpening HSS chisels. Not anymore. Gently steer it and remember you can loosen the blade turn it and you have a nice fresh edge
