St.Tropez Self Tan Suprême Violet Bronzing Mousse

I am a Pacific Islander, but my natural tone is pale. Because of that, I regularly worshiped the sun, and I even subscribed to tanning salons for a great portion of my life. Now that I am older, I smartened up finally and canceled my tanning subscription, but I miss the whole look of being bronze and sunkissed. I tried spray tanning, but I wasn’t a fan. My business partner introduced this product to me. Wow! It’s fantastic! No streaking, dark, and it smells good! I still receive many compliments on my complexion, it looks real! Instead of pretending it’s a real tan, I excitedly tell everyone that it’s fake. The island-life illusion is so overwhelming for me that I can’t keep silent about how I get my “”suntanned complexion. Buy it!! Don’t forget to buy a glove and a tool to spread it across your back. Because it smells good, you can literally apply it, wait 30 minutes, put on your clothes, and go out for the day. Or apply today, then go out tomorrow. Either way, this product is amazing. I bought the drops for the face as well and will be reviewing that shortly. Enjoy looking like a goddess after using this incredible product!

I have Asian skin, so this review is for Asian skin. It does look a little green when you put it on, but once you wash it off it looks perfectly fine. It is a beautiful and natural looking color that is the perfect tan color that I seek, I am very pleased with it. I do recommend getting the applicator mitt which is sold separately, for a better looking finish. The best way to do this is to shave and exfoliate your skin before applying, like all other fake tans. It lasted 5 days for me (similar to a spray tan), even though I took some fairly hot showers. Just be sure to apply lots and lots of moisturizer twice a day to make the tan last and fade evenly. The fade was as decent as it gets, better than a spray tan but not as natural as a real tan. Just exfoliate to get it all off when you want to re-apply. I made the mistake of not putting enough lotion on my feet the first time, so my feet ended up being the same color as the rest of my body (it looked really weird). This is a public service announcement to put extra lotion on your feet and hands before applying this stuff! Also put lots of moisturizer on your face before you apply it on your face, otherwise it looks bad. Update: I tried this again, this time with lots of lotion on my feet and face. It looks very natural, I would definitely buy this again when it eventually runs out. It fades very naturally too, it doesn't peel off the way professional spray-on products do- I've had long, hot showers with this thing on and it just makes my skin lighter, no patchy spots so far! This thing comes with A BOAT LOAD of product, so it might be a while before I get through the whole bottle. Definitely worth the price! My only complaint is how hard and frustrating it is to get my back...but that's a problem with all self-tanning products.

This is the first self bronzer I have ever used, and it was pricey but so glad I went with it. I read an article on Consumer Reports and this was the bronzer that they rated the best. It comes out kind of green on your skin but that is how it is supposed to work, so don't let that scare you. I left it on overnight and then showered the next day and was so pleased with the results. I bought the mitt to go with it and I can see that would be a game changer. I am very pale and was going on a week long trip to an all inclusive resort in Cabo in November, and I put it on the day before I left and then put it on again mid week. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed in this product.

This product is decent as far as self tanners go, but not as dark as I would have liked. I normally spray tan and use a level 3 bronze in the VersaPro, and I like the color just as much as this except it took multiple coats over two days to get the right color with the St. Tropez whereas just one spray with the VersaPro. So you’re using a lot more product, and the product is expensive. Also, this product goes on green and streaky. You have to use it when you’re not going out, otherwise you’ll look very weird. So, it’s not good for people who need an Instant fix. It will also get all over your clothes and sheets right after you apply, but after it dries and you shower, there is little transfer. I used the st. tropez mitt to apply it and it worked well, but the mitt soaks up SO much product and it will seep through onto your hand. I recommend using a better brand of mitt that’s less absorbent. The pros: I didn’t notice too harsh of a self tanner smell while applying, and no self tanner smell after you’re dried and showered. Even though it goes on streaky, the end result is very even with the mitt. More of an even tan than I feel I get with the VersaPro since the VersaPro does not evenly get my legs. The color is overall nice, it honestly just is up to your skin tone and how dark of a tan you’re looking for. I am fair to medium skinned and was looking for something dark, this delivered after about 5 coats over two days. I used the sculpt and glow gradual tan regular as well as the tinted, and I much prefer this formula to those. Overall, not awful but needs improvement. Used to spray tanning so not sure if this is the best option, but definitely a good enough one. (Ehrliche Rezension) ANWENDUNG: Da es sich um ein Mousse handelt, muss man es vor der Anwendung gut schütteln. Danach kommt eine dunkel braune-leicht grüne Mousse aus der Flasche, welche wirklich sehr schön schaumig ist. Man sollte den Selbstbräuner mit einem Applikatorhandschuh auftragen!!! Falls man dies nicht tut, sondern mit den Händen dann verfärbt sich die Innen-Hand sehr schnell sehr dunkel, was sehr unnatürlich ist. Denn man sollte die Innen-Hand nicht bräunen! TIPP: Macht vorher unbedingt ein Peeling um die alten Hautschüppchen zu entfernen! So wird es mit Sicherheit nicht fleckig! UND cremt stellen ein an eurem Körper die schnell trocken werden (Knie, Hände, Fußknöchel, Ellenbogen) mit einer ganz normales Körperlotion. Das Mousse gibt man dann auf den Applikator (ungefähr 2 Pump-Stöße) und fängt an z.B. das erste Bein damit einzustreichen. Dadurch, dass das Mousse dunkel ist, kann man sehr gut sehen, wo man sich schon gebräunt hat, und wo nicht. Es lässt sich wirklich sehr leicht verteilen. Um es z.B. an den Füßen oder Händen gut zu verblenden, da es dort ja schnell fleckig werden kann, empfehle ich, mit einem Pinsel nochmal drüber zu gehen. ACHTUNG: Das Mousse trocknet wirklich sehr schnell, deshalb würde ich zügig vorgehen. Nach dem Auftragen sollte man "weite" Klamotten anziehen (am besten alte Klamotten, da sich das Mousse etwas abfärbt). Man kann es auch gut nachts einwirken lassen. Allerdings färbt das Mousse etwas am Bettlaken ab, was sich aber wieder rauswäscht. Danach hat es das beste Ergebnis, meiner Meinung nach. ERGEBNIS: Nach dem Aufstehen gehe ich unter die Dusche um das Mousse abzuwaschen. Reibt nicht zu doll an eurem Körper damit es auch lange genug hält. Auch beim Abtrocknen sollte ihr euch nur "abtupfen" und nicht "reiben". Meiner Meinung nach ist das Ergebnis wirklich wunderschön und natürlich. HALTBARKEIT: Es hält meine Meinung nach ca. 1 Woche, kann aber auch länger halten, je nachdem wie oft man Duschen geht. Also für mich hält es 1 Woche, denn danach wird es leicht fleckig, da es sich an einigen Stellen schneller "abwäscht" als an anderen Stellen. ZU DEN BILDERN: Wie man erkennen kann, habe ich komplett GAR KEINE Flecken und meine Hände ebenso nicht. Ich habe mein Gesicht extra nicht gebräunt um den Unterschied zu erkennen. P.S.: Erschreckt euch nicht, dass es zwischendurch sehr dunkel oder etwas fleckig aussieht, nach dem abwaschen ist es etwas verblasst, da die erste Schicht abgewaschen wird und ihr seid nicht mehr so extrem dunkel und auf keinen Fall fleckig. FAZIT: Auf jeden Fall meine Kaufempfehlung! Sehr zufrieden!

This tanning solution works very well complete natural, glowing skin like any self tanner. It gets all over your bedding, but it works really well. I’ll definitely buy it again.
