I love this product, the value is great for all that’s included. Really easy to use and has pretty all you need to clean your gun in a compact/portable kit you can take on the go. What else can you ask for!? Worked great for for my 1911.

I bought this for my 44-45 cal pistols thinking that the one I have is better than the one I forgot to bring and this travels well. It is a little weird in that you kind of mix and match stuff to clean the gun rather than having one central way of using the kit. There is plenty of space for your other cleaners and it does have a little bottle of cleaner/lube so it easily gets the four stars, but giving it the fifth star is tough for some reason. I popped for a Hopes bore snake, and that is what I should have went for in the first place. My use is just light range cleaning and getting any dampness out of the barrel when busting around in the woods. The nice little kit is more for put-it-away cleaning except you probably don't have your can of cleaner or your can of oil with the little range bag deal since you are cheap and buy the big cans. If you simply want a good cleaner for your pistol, this is a good cleaner. If you want a range cleaner to touch up the bore when you are trying for accuracy or using ammo that fouls the gun, get a snake. If all you want is a put-it-away cleaner, this will do, but you might as well as get one for your long guns and pistols since the long gun cleaner works in pistols, but this doesn't really work in long guns.

I have used this product and would highly recommend it to clean handguns between thorough cleanings prior to storage. I have cleaned weapons for over 50 years and felt this is a great way of cleaning the inside of the barrel without disassembling the firearm. Of course, a good thorough cleaning is recommended before long term storage or when one is using a handgun several times a year. However, between thorough cleanings, the Otis kit works extremely well after each hangun use.

New to the gun care, this set doesn’t include a tooth brush used in most gun cleaning videos, the cloth brush, and dry lube. If you have a 9mm it seems like Otis offers a better kit that includes all the necessary pieces
