Upgraded Oxygen & Acetylene Gas Cutting Torch and Welding Kit, Medium Duty Cutting Torch Welding Kit

I have a large torch that's big & bulky along with hard to get in some areas. I was looking for a medium size set and decided to try these. They work very well for me, just the right size and the small rosebud comes in handy to.

This thing literally snapped in half on the first day. Chinese brass is cheap and fragile. It didn’t even deserve one star.

It's a very complete kit that arrived in a nice plastic case with room for a couple more welding tips. When opening the case, a couple of the plastic lenses the cover the regulator guages were loose inside. They were easy enough to reinstall, but they don't tighten down all that much. I'm thinking about wrapping tape around them to keep them from falling off again and allowing the gauges to be damaged. Another thing that was loose (slightly) was the gas valve on the torch body. I had to take the valve apart, which is easy enough to do, and give it another turn.Other than that, it works great. It comes with a tool that has several different wrench sizes, but I prefer to just use a 10" crescent wrench. All you need to supply is the Acetylene and Oxygen tanks, along with the welding rod and welding gloves. A set of flashback arrestors would also be a good idea (cheap insurance).The enclosed manual is very thorough, a must read if you're unfamiliar with oxy/acetylene welding and cutting. If you have experience with this type of equipment, it works like any other kit.I tried the cutting torch first, and it worked perfect. Next, I installed the welding torch. It was easy to dial in a neutral flame, and it worked as expected. I didn't try the heating tip because if I need to heat a large section of metal, I'd probably just fire up the forge.It seems to be a decent torch kit at a good price that will get the job done.

This is a well built complete torch kit. It has the regulators, hoses, valves, tips, and several other pieces so you just need to get full tanks and get started. It has simple goggles but no gloves, so you might want a few more things for safety, including a better welding helmet.The case has four latches and is very secure and everything has a place. It’s a below average blow molded case but does the job.The case has a few unfilled spots for tips and other accessories, but the regulators and torches do not have space for quick connect connectors to be added and still fit into the case.Definitely a good starter set.

it's rare to find a product which works flawlessly right out of the box but this one does.

This is a nice torch kit. It comes with pretty much everything that you need except the tanks.This is not made for heavy duty welding, but it does get the job done if needed. The tips are very nice and work well. The case is also a very nice case. It makes it easy to store everything, take everything with you and store.I thought that this would be nice to have and I am very glad that I got it. It has everything and so far everything is working great, even the gauges.
