Smithfield Ham Hocks Or Butts Sliced Country Cured in 10 Ounce Package (2 Packs- 20 Ounces)

This is GOOD stuff. Impossible to find affordable ham/pork hocks except in stores. Those are good for flavor but nothing to them but bones and skin. These come as a thick, thick cut of smoked pork and enough fat to add that extra bit of juicy to those dishes that require some pork fat. Mostly though a lean cut of delicious smoked pork meat. I liked it so much that I'm now back for my second package of two.Another plus is that these *don't go bad* but are shelf stable in the package. Wow. After opening and if you don't use the whole thing at once they do need refrigeration or freezing, but until then no worries if you had a dish in mind and then change your mind. This little jewel will be waiting for you, next week or next month.All that is well and good but the best part of these are the delicious taste. Well worth the price. Just finished a big pot of navy beans seasoned with some chopped onions, celery, garlic and the star of the show this hock. Delicious. Next on the 'let's make this list' some turnip or collard greens. I'm keeping these on hand.

Cooking beans with the ham hicks, it smells so good. Takes me back to Grandma's!!!!!!
