Great fan -- worth the price easily
I used this fan on an Ender 3 V2 and did not need to modify anything. I connected it directly to the hot-end fan terminal so it runs all the time. The included adapters were helpful because I did not have to strip any wires myself. This saved me time and hassle. It is very quiet compared to the original mainboard fan. Cooling seems about the same even though this fan uses less power. The fan feels well made and comes with several adapter options. Overall it is a good value and worth the extra cost for the adapters and features.

Great Ankermake M5c upgrade!
After the second hotend fan went out in less than a year of owning my Ankermake M5C I decided to give this a try purely in the hopes that it would be a more durable replacement. While it's too soon to know how much longer it'll last compared to the oem replacement fans, I have to say that my overall print quality has improved dramatically! All the silly little issues that had me chasing my tail, tweaking settings constantly are now over. Layer adhesion, bed adhesion, bridging problems, elephant footing, general warping... gone. I've even been able to stop using brims or rafts and my supports separate with nearly no post-print cleanup. Obviously, your results may vary but I'm absolutely recommending this fan as the best drop-in hotend fan upgrade if you own an Ankermake M5C. Installation is a breeze using the included 2 wire adapter, a few hex wrenches from your ankermake tool kit, and some pliers to help lock down the scotch locks. Just cut off your old fan's connector leaving enough wire for routing around the extruder gear and connect it to the 2 wire adapter via the scotch locks (red to grey, black to black). If you've never used scotch locks before, remember that it's not necessary to strip the wires, just make sure they're fully inserted into the scotch lock and press the center down as straight as possible. If you get it canted, it could break the scotch lock (others have mentioned this in their reviews). Luckily, Noctua provides 4 in the kit so you have extras for 2 wire applications like the M5C. Otherwise the installation is just the same as an oem replacement and instructions can be found on Ankermake's support site. If I somehow acquire another M5C, I'd do this swap as soon as it's out of the box. I'm that sold. My only gripe is that it doesn't appear that they make a 3010 version to replace my noisy pcba fan. Buy this fan if you have an Ankermake M5C, seriously. Oh yeah, it's super quiet too!

WOW! Totally Worth It!
WOW! Just buy it. I have an Ender 5 Pro with the stock hot end fan and it's in my office. It was so loud that it was annoyingly loud. With a sime 10 minute job of wiring in this new fan, my 3d printer now is as loud as a standard computer fan. SO happy. I'd have spent double and still be happy.

Quiet
This is the quietest fan I have ever used. Replacement was a breeze with the extra pigtail wire harness included. Direct replacement for my 3d printer

Wire too short for Ender 6.
Even with the wire extender, it is way too short for the Ender 6.
