This book is gorgeous! The colours on the pages look fantastic and the embossed cover is a nice touch to top it all off.The comic itself is really entertaining and full of easter eggs and references. The dialogue is genuinely funny and the art style is super zany and fun to look at. There isn't a dull moment.I love all the extras included as well; concept art, cover art, Peck's P. C. O. C files etc. Good stuff.I've always loved the movies but this comic got me back into Ghostbusters in a big way. Really great book, worth every penny. I'll definitely be picking up the rest of these compiled volumes when I can.

Glorious Ghostbusting!
I debated getting this for quite a while. I already have the paperback versions. Did I really need the first four volumes collected in hardback? I should not have hesitated or debated. This hardback collection screams quality. IDW have done a lovely job with the presentation of this hardback. The raised details really add to the feel of the book.Having the stories as the larger format makes it even more fun trying to spot the GB and general 80's nostalgia easter eggs that they drop in to this ongoing series. For the uninitiated, this IDW series considers the two films and the recent video game as canon while the other aspects of the franchise (cartoons, comics and even toys) get referenced or gradually integrated into the IDW GB world. It's brilliant! Great writing tone to get pretty damn close to the films, superb use of the characters, spot on pace to the building stories, amazingly detailed art, vivid animation style colour work all with superb back up mini stories. The only down side to this reprinted collection is that the cover gallery section at the back perhaps isn't as good as in the paperbacks as the covers are squeezed a few to a page where as in the paperbacks they get a (smaller sized) page all to themselves. All other bonus art and stories seems to match the paperbacks as far as I can tell just nice to have as the larger format.Hardcore fans NEED this in their collection.

Thumbs Up!
This collects the sixteen issue ongoing series that IDW launched in 2011 and later reissued in four trade paperbacks. It is a very sturdy hardcover that isn’t too heavy for the hand at 432 pages and lays open on a table very well. You can see right into the centre pages and will have no fear of the spine letting you down.It is slightly oversized. Definitely not an Absolute Edition but bigger than a standard issue by an inch or so. The art is also full bleed making things really pop off the page. As the panel divisions are thin black lines the whole effect is more cinematic than literary. The high gloss paper and the digital colouring work in combination to give a real visual feast. The storylines are good, striking a balance between the new reader and the rabid fanboy. The more you know about the GB lore the more you will get out of them as every page background is packed with hidden gems and easter eggs but these rarely interrupt the flow of the story.Unusually the issues start and end aren’t marked save for a modest red number in the corner. This helps things flow like watching a DVD without the ad breaks. Between stories there are extras like technical drawings, sketches and in-character documents that would have been present in the individual issues but have been moved to more convenient points. There are 34 pages of extras including script breakdowns, concept art, sketches and lots of covers. The series was known for an abnormally high number of variant covers. Many of these have been reproduced here either as a single page or four to a page showing the amazing creativity and wealth of styles and ideas. It is expensive but you are getting four TPB’s and a bullet proof binding. Thumbs Up!

Readin' Makes Me Feel Good
From cover to cover, this is a perfect collection. Even the covers are pieces of art with the embossed detailing. The sheer quantity and quality of this really makes it worth every penny. The stories inside cover a very dynamic plot arc and it sets up the Cryptozoic Ghostbusters Boardgame very well. Superb purchase.

A Love Letter to all Ghostbusters Fans
This book is chock full of Ghostbusters goodness, so much so they had to make it over-sized and contain it all in a hard cover. Enclosed within the book are the first 16 issues (or first 4 volumes of the trade paperback) of The Ghostbusters ongoing series. It is a love letter to all GB fans, a perfect fusion of the movie, videogame, cartoon, and toy worlds. A seamless blend of all things GB to create a wonderful new universe. There are cameo's and Easter eggs galore, you'll be delighted will all the references snuck into the backgrounds of the panels and in dialogue. There is even an allusion to the Filmation Ghost Busters. An awesome collection any true Ghostbusters fan would love.

Handsome Package. Gorgeous Art.
Stepping away from my passion for the characters, the package is top notch. From the exterior presentation to the oversized interior art, the production value leaves nothing to be desired. As for the stories themselves? This collects the ongoing Ghostbusters series; which is probably the most exciting and detailed love letters to a beloved franchise that I've had the pleasure of reading. The stories are tight and concise, the fiction anchors to the movies, while incorporating elements from every major incarnation of the characters. There are so many nods, easter eggs and cameos in every panel, that even as a diehard fan, I had to keep a wiki page up for every issue so I could go back and catch them all.Dan Schoening also happens to have crafted one of the most beautiful books on the market. Every gadget pops down to the lights and the stickers. The collars, booths and undershirts of each jumpsuit is drawn directly exactly the way their characters wore them. There's personality everywhere. If you're looking for a fun exciting book not mired by spandex or depression, Ghostbusters is a well-crafted breath of fresh air.

A Must Have for Ghostbusters Fans
I've been a big fan of Ghostbusters all my life, and I was delighted to find this comic collection of the first 16 issues of the ongoing series by IDW. The stories keep to the tone of the films, and the pages are full of bright colours and terrific art design. There are numerous Easter eggs to be found hidden in the various scenes, referencing everything from the movies themselves to the 80's Kenner toys. The book itself is high quality as well, with large pages & a beautifully embossed hard cover. Just pick this up, alright?
