The item looks great. My Mini originals have flaked and bubbled twice... First time under warranty, and this time, on my own. these replacements look better than the originals, but I have to say the the clips on the back seem flimsy. I was able to work around the one that broke during installation, but it does concern me. I added double stick tape to keep them in place.

These look great! They installed very easily. I used the clips they came with, and had no problem snapping them in place. Install took me all of 3 minutes. We'll see how long they last. Old ones were bubbled and peeling after 5 years, so I figure if these make it 2 years it's a good deal for $25.

These suck! I gave them 2 chances. They don't fit correctly. And after a month, one fell off!

I had high hopes for these trim rings, as my "project Mini" was in need of some aesthetic touch-ups (as in missing one headlight trim ring, and the other was a horrible black chrome looking thing). These arrived well-packaged, and looked good out of the box. Yes, they're plastic trim rings, so they're not really going to have the gravitas of a set of Jaguar XKE trim rings, but they were a whole lot better than the nothing I started with. The problems came when trying to press them into the hood sheet metal. The little plastic clips that are designed to hold them in place just couldn't quite get the job done. A few did click into place, but after my best efforts I could easily dislodge the rings with a light tap of my hand. I don't think they would have stayed in place on the road for more than a few miles. Luckily, I'd picked up a set (12) of "replacement clips" for Mini headlight trim rings, thinking that the spare ring I received with my project car might be usable. That didn't work out, but I did install these new clips on the rings, and they fixed the problem. I was surprised because the new and old clips were about as visually similar as two tiny things could be, but the new clips had an audible "click" when seating, and when I was done, the rings were on the car and look like they'll stay there. In the end, I like the looks and the basic design of these rings. If they just came with better clips, they'd be a no-brainer choice for a budget trim rings!

Fit perfect, easy to install!!

Some complained about the clips, I didn't have any problem. I thought the install was much easier if you install with the hood open. The top clip slides out/in of the hood frame while the others "pop" in/out. Install worked best to place in position then set the clips with thumb from under the hood.

Lo instalé directamente yo y quedó muy bien sujeto, lo que no me había sucedido con el modelo que compré anteriormente. Se ve muy bien.
