Great conditioner
I've got a boot acquisition disorder and I'm impressed with Venetian shoe cream. I found out about it from watching Stridewise videos. I'd been using Bick 4 (and will continue to use it, it's great especially if you're obsessively worried about darkening your leather). Bick 4 is a much lighter product (no waxes in formula, I think), more like a leather moisturizer. So I also wanted something that would penetrate and condition deeper and Venetian does that. I believe it has beeswax and other waxes in the formula, so it absorbs deeper. And I don't get any petroleum smell as some have mentioned. And it worked perfectly on my Tony Lama ostrich skin boots. Absolutely ZERO problems or issues. So big thumb's up.I've tried Leather Honey too. I know it's sells a lot on Amazon but I didn't care for it. It conditions very deeply but the leather gulps it in; it also appears to darken some leathers more or less permanently. I tend to apply conditioner directly to leather and rub in with fingers. Big mistake with Leather Honey. My Frye 12R harness boots probably won't need conditioning until Columbus Day 2022. Go light & easy and use a rag. It's a good product but I like Bick 4 and Venetian much better and will stick with those 2.I would, though, like to at least try Saphir Renovateur and Cobbler's Choice at some point in time.

Fantastic deal and great results on leather
This is a truly excellent product. First, I'll just say that the price is amazing--it may seem expensive compared to other leather creams/conditioners, but this will last a very long time (it's a 32oz jug for $35 shipped vs ~$10 for a 3oz bottle). I'll make some comparisons to the neutral Venetian Leather Balm, which is a different product in a similar-looking bottle and doesn't appear to be sold in bulk like the cream. There seems to be some confusion between the two.You can use this on any kind of whole grain leather for the most part. It won't do any good for suede, roughout, etc. Beyond shoes, it's perfect for belts, bags, jackets, and so on. It doesn't darken leather at all and polishes to a slight shine. It's much lighter than boot oils like mink oil and so on. for that reason, it's also less protective and won't do much in the way of waterproofing--it's more for conditioning. For a pair of boots that see harsh conditions or a motorcycle jacket, I'd use an oil. For nice shoes, wallets, purses, belts, the cream is great. I'd only really use the balm on shoes due to the cost. Both seem to be a blend of oils, waxes and solvents (it says it contains petroleum distillates and the balm says it has turpentine as well). There's not a solvent smell at all on the cream, though. Very little smell at all, actually. The balm has a stronger smell, both of solvent and some kind of scent. The cream is much thinner than the balm. The balm is maybe like hair conditioner and the cream is like the balm watered down slightly. Maybe not the best way to describe it, but the balm would take a little while to run out of the bottle if you tipped it over, but the cream would come out almost immediately. When dry on your hands or leather, both feel kind of sticky from the waxes, but the balm much more so.Because of this, I wouldn't recommend the balm as the only conditioning product for your leather. I don't feel that it penetrates deeply enough. The cream seems to soak in more deeply and could work as an all-in-one conditioner. Both leave waxes on the surface that can be polished to some degree. The balm will end up shinier.Overall, I'm glad I found this. Between this and some Obenauf's oil, I won't need to worry about buying any other leather conditioning products for years. The balm was a nice freebie with a pair of shoes, but I wouldn't bother buying it.

Shoes Care 101 and Value for Money
I came across this product when I wanted to maintain my horween cordovan boots. I bought a few 3 oz bottles. Later, I found out this size is the best for value. This shoes cream can apply not only to footwear. I use it for leather jackets, sofa etc. That is why I need a liter size. For footwear, it is the basic treatment before putting on wax. After I put this on my footwear, I can see the reason why Horween cordovan recommends this product to care their products. Even without waxing, the coating could last for a long time.

expected
it did what it's supposed to do... conditioned my boots. Is it the best thing in the world? At a little over a $1 an ounce it just might be.My can came in fine, btw, nothing I wouldn't expect to also find picking it off a rack at a store. I also didn't notice too much of a fume smell when applying it, but I also didn't actively try to smell it, either. Overall I'm pleased, this should last me a very long time.

Great product!
Great shoe care product, very reasonable price per ounce when purchasing in this volume. Perhaps not quite as good of a product as Saphir renovateur, but this entire can costs the same as a small jar of renovateur. When taking that into consideration, this is perfect for "everyday" usage for keeping leather in good condition.

Worth the purchase
If anyone is wondering if the conditioner is worth it, I’ll be among the first to tell you that it is. It works great. It preserves at least 95% of the color of the leather. It is just for conditioning not for weather proofing. One application will last several months if your shoes or boots aren’t used for work or heavy abuse.

Can severely dented!
I like the product. Not particularly happy that the can was so damaged. Guess I'm lucky it didn't leak. More care should be taken when packing perhaps?

Magic
Great stuff to condition (most) anything leather. Just a little sticky until dry, then a little buffing makes everything shine.
