PPE Magnetic Drain Plug 114052001 (2001-2016 GM 6.6L Duramax)

Nice little upgrade. OEM drain for a 2009 Duramax was a little worn and maybe needed just a new washer, but this one is stainless steel and the same head size as the OEM bolt. It fit nice and now I know I have a fresh washer and no chance of leaks. Only downside was the price lol. No noticable leaks immediately after an oil change, but will keep an eye on it, since others have complained of leaks. Might just need to crank it down a little hard during first install so the copper washer can crush some and seal. I never want to overtighten the drain plug, but I gave it a little extra ugga dugga this first time.

Just what I needed for my truck. Fit perfectly

I got this drain plug to go along with my CAT oil filter and adapter nipple so I can run the 1R-1807 filter on my 2011 LML. So naturally I got the PPE magnetic drain plug to help prolong the life of my engine to help catch or indicate anything going wrong with it, down the road during its maintenance intervals.

The plug threads seemed legit and the washer sealed up perfectly. I'll eventually figure out where my OEM plug got put but a word to the wise do it yourselfers who change your oil and filter regularly, also change the plug washer regularly. Great reasonably priced copper washers are out there so buy a bag.

Thick copper seal has lasted many oil changes since purchased, the machined plug just fits all around better, easier to torque, edges don't round as easy as the short oem bolt

This is a really nice oil drain plug with magnet . It came with a new gasket as well which was nice . Changes the size of socket to a 16mm . Highly recommend!!
