Glam Hobby 2.5X Reading Lamp Clamp Folding LED Lighted Magnifier Loupe Desktop Magnifying Glass with Desk Lamp Table Magnifier with 8X Magnifier Inset Lens

I purchased the Glam Hobby 2.5x Reading Lamp Clamp Folding LED to use when doing my dip powder nails. Although the lamp is very good, the magnifying portion is too small for my use. The lamp is a little top heavy, so it wants to tip over if you bend the arm too far down. The good points are the led provides adequate light under the glass and the magnifying portion is also good. For the right purpose, this is an excellent lamp, just not for me. I don't regret buying it though, because it can come in handy - removing a splinter, threading a needle, etc. Not anything constant or moving - like reading, doing your nails, etc.

I thought I was getting a really good deal going by previous reviews, but now, I kinda wish I'd splurged and went for something better. The posable stem seems like a good idea on paper, but in practice, the wire inside is way too thin, and the lens just falls flat on the table every time, making it completely impossible to position it where I need it. I had to duct tape a couple paper clips to it to get it to work, but even with that ghetto solution, it's very finicky.

This is the second type of magnifier I have purchased due to plastic clip breaking. This one seems to grasp the surface table you clip it on better. I got this one because of the metal clip. So far it has held up well and seems to stay in place better. Clear and easy to see and comes with a light.

Love the large lense, perfect for my needs. My only complaint is the frame that is expected to keep it standing should you want to have it on a desk is poorly made and feels as though it will fall apart. Same for the clamp, build quality could be better for the price

Excellent little magnifying glass, that stands on its own as long as you have the flexible part bent to balance. And it has a clamp if you want or need to clamp it steadily. Great value.

Nice magnifier...clamp holds well...helps with cross stitching

It's battery operated (3AAA), portable, I keep it in box, less wires this way.

Just what I needed. Great price. It stands alone or clips to a table. The glass lens was a pleasant surprise.
