They work ok

I love this product for ease of use for seed starting huge numbers of tiny seeds that need light and they are reasonably priced with good packaging to protect the Petri dishes with lids. Although you have to check them often to keep the growing media from drying out, these are ideal for seed tests when light is required for germination.

They work fine for making agar plates, but they aren't always packaged well. In my last order of these plates we had 2 plates cracked in the lid and base out of our order of 20.

One cracked and one with a broken corner. Had to get the clear tape out but made each container work for germinating seeds.

I figured out several years ago that to start seedlings from actual fruit; I get a much higher seedling by using these types of containers

Square dishes are perfect as we like to tilt them up for display purposes and they won't roll like the round versions. We use them for insect collecting and display. They are very light weight and crystal clear, so clear that you can take photos of your live specimens with no distortion or haziness. Could not be happier and would definitely recommend these Polystirene Dishes for whatever you need to cover and observe!

I use these for washing square membranes with protein transferred. They used high quality material and come in handy.
