I had been waiting for Hive or Kasa (I have both systems) to add temperature sensors to their range of sensors but after a year or two it has not happened. I wanted to remotely monitor the temperature in the greenhouse and large porch which has separate heating and plants in it. After a lot of searching I found this product which was a reasonable price, contains two temp/humidity sensors, and the sensor hub to connect them to your broadband router. To set up the sensor hub you connect the power adapter (European plug so you will need a European to UK plug adapter or change the plug) and connect the sensor hub to your broadband router via the cable supplied (It does not connect via WiFi so both need to be fairly close together). You then insert the supplied batteries into the two sensors and they should connect to the sensor hub. To manage them you download the Mobile-Alerts App to your smartphone. The App is a bit clunky and displays adverts for other sensors but is useable (You have to allow the App to have access to your smartphone camera so it can read the sensor barcodes to install them). Just delete all the sample sensors from the main screen of the app and scan in your new sensors. You can then set up min and max temperatures and humidity levels. The app then alerts you on your smartphone if the limits are exceeded. The sensors work fine distance wise from inside my greenhouse and outbuildings through the walls of my house to the sensor hub in the lounge. I can check on all the data recorded by the sensors using my smartphone wherever I am e.g at work, on holiday abroad and not just when at home. (Just bought this set again so now I have 4 sensors - put one in garage and one in shed - and a spare sensor hub). So overall it meets my needs and it is just the Mobile-Alerts App that could be improved.

This has the potential to be a great little product but is let down by the clunky and uninformative interface on the linked mobile app. You can access the raw data online once you've connected with the mobile app but even using Conrad Connect you only get a really basic live reading from the sensors.The sensors themselves are discrete and seem to be relatively accurate - after sitting next to each other outside for a while they settled to showing a temperature within 0.3 degrees C of each other, and very close to the value on the nearby alcohol thermometer. The "outside" one is not waterproof, so you'll need to have dry, shady spot to put it.If you're buying in the UK don't forget that you'll need a EU-UK plug adaptor.

I was considering getting the netatmo weather station but after reading a lot of reviews I decided on this piece of kit. I don’t regret it one bit. It is extremely easy to set up: connect the gateway to modem, download the app, scan the two temperature sensors with your phone and that is it. I can now check the outdoor and indoor temperature of my house from wherever I am. This isn’t a bluetooth system, it’s all wifi so the range between the sensor and the station is much greater. I’m really pleased with it.

A good quality product, it does however have a European power adapter, since it is meant for sale in the EU and therefore I was required to purchase a EU to UK adapter. The sensors linked to the gateway with no problem and the outside sensor (in the garage) connects all the way to the gateway the otherside of the house. It is possible to buy a kit for the UK, but then you only get one sensor for almost the same price. Sensors seem to be accurate enough compared to other thermometer in the house. All together happy with this little extravagance.

Needed an adapter to work with a UK socket but otherwise it all works a treat. I would like to be able to buy more of these sensors. I especially like the graphs available on the app with the interior sensor and wish that they were available with the exterior one as well.
