Daniel Tosh, comedy's chosen one, has been healing the sick, stopping wars, helping under-privileged children... not to mention filming Completely Serious, the single greatest hour in comedy. What have you been doing? Tosh has appeared multiple times on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Show with David Letterman, and his debut CD, True Stories I Made Up, is close to reaching ten-million copies sold (that's diamond!). The torch has been passed and stand-up's newest superstar will try not to drop it.

One of my favorite comedy albums ever
I'll start by saying I really like comedy. I have well over 200 comedy CDs and DVDs from Abbott and Costello to Lenny Bruce to Steve Martin to David Cross (oops!) to guys stumping the clubs today. If you listen to a lot of comedy, you get a feeling for who has put in the work to really polish their material, and for who has a unique and compelling voice. Tosh has worked this material to perfection; the timing is spot on, the delivery is expert, and he works the line that has you squirming AND laughing. For me, "Completely Serious" has to be one of the ten best comedy albums ever. OK, it's a DVD, but I ripped the soundtrack and listen to it on my portable music player. Its software tells me I've heard the album 55 times. I've played the video at least a half dozen times.I recommend this to anyone who's willing to laugh at taboo subjects. If you're familiar with Louis C.K., I'd say the "willing to offend" meter deflects similarly for the two, though they are otherwise quite different. If you're at all easily offended, this is not for you. Otherwise, buckle up. You're in for a treat.Since CDs come with track lists but DVDs don't, I'm going to list the first dozen of the 27 "tracks" I got from ripping the DVD. This might give you an idea of whether you'll like this set:1) Intro / The O.C. / How Much Longer Do I Have?2) Swearing in Heaven / Ashton Kutcher is a D*****bag3) Banging Teachers4) Snapple Knowledge5) Seal the Border6) Is Poker a Sport?7) Bring the Troops Home (to War in Nebraska)8) Parade or Fireworks?9) Happiness Through Material Possessions10) I'm Not Honest (But You're Interesting) / Stupid Wh**es and Plastic Surgery11) The Myth of the Hot Female Athlete12) The Polite Version of Tourette's

no seriously, no seriously... no, seriously
Daniel Tosh is hilarious, but if you are looking at this you probably already know that, as I think his current level of popularity dictates that no one could find his DVD on accident/through recomendations etc.It has been said a couple of times already, but this DVD re-hashes a lot of the cd material, only with rushed deliveries (it killed me the way he altered the down feather bit on the DVD), and so to an extent you can make the case that the cd is the way to go.But the extras on the DVD, while not large in quantity, are AMAZING. From self depricating cracks during a photo shoot, to a little Q&A with some fans (watching these people try to be funny for him is a riot in itself), and then finally topped by an ingenious rip on Dane Cook. But while the extras are great, they also represent my biggest regret about the DVD. I own his CD, I watched the special (which was an editted, cut down version of this show) premier. While I enjoy the new material, hearing the F word etc. after seeing the outtakes it is apparent that a lot was left on the cutting room floor. Maybe this is an unreasonable request (or just that of a psycho fan), but why? I loved watching him bust on audience members, camera men, the staff of the club etc. I can understand why you don't want that part of it on Comedy Central, but why not include the whole show, completely uncut, on the DVD?Oh well. This DVD is a good buy just because the best stuff in the show didn't make it onto the Comedy Central cut (the whole bit about New Orleans for instance), and for the aforementioned reasons. Yeah, it could have been better, but I am still happy to own it.

One of the Best Comics you've never heard of
If you love clever, ironic comedy, you have GOT to give Daniel Tosh a try. He is really smart and is able to drill down into a joke that same way that a guy like John Stewart or John Oliver or maybe Bill Maher can do - only with a lot of edge.EXAMPLE: "My girlfriend complains that I correct her all the time. I told her "how would you like to be dating someone who's WRONG all the time?"I put Daniel on once a week or so, even for a few minutes, to stoke up the humor level and get a couple of laughs. He's now one of my favorite comics.

Killer Funny
This may be my favorite comedy album (DVD whatever) of all time. I have watched this over, and over and just laugh my ass off every time I play it. Tosh just has a way of putting forth jokes so quickly and to the point. Its like condensed comedy. Also, he is very blue and pokes fun at all racial stereotypes, etc. But the difference between a racist joke and a non racist joke is this; "is it funny". The answer is an overwhelming, yes. But, if you can't take blue humor or jokes on the edge of civility (well mostly well outside of it) then you should skip it. But if you want funny, Daniel Tosh brings it in abundance. This show is a non-stop onslaught of smart humor. You just have to "get it". Many do, but some will not. Too bad for them because if you want your stomach to hurt from laughing, get this Blu-ray/DVD/MP3 however you do.

Hilarious and UN-PC!!!! Loved it!!!!
Just watched this free on Prime Instant Video and it was GREAT!!!! I have seen his Tosh.O show a couple times, but never thought that much of Tosh as a comedian. After this I am a HUGE fan. Everything he said was true, but offensive, which is ok. I think most people are too PC these days. It reminds me of "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia", in that they say the things we are thinking, but are "ashamed" to say. I liked how he wasn't afraid to make fun of his crowd, and thought the jokes about the Midwest were hilarious (I live in Missouri). If you like shows like "Louie" or "It's Always Sunny", then you will LOVE this standup special. Give it a try.

Hard to find
I don't know why I can no longer find this whole routine on any streaming services anymore. Censor much? Get it now before the thought police come for you. Which they will if you buy it, lol.

Completely brilliant
Apart from some of the gags that were obviously aimed for an American audience I found the vast bulk of his material extremely funny and deliciously un-PC. Not a hint of an apology, just says it how he sees it. Insightful, witty, hilarious. So glad I bought this and will show it to family and friends who have a sense of humour. Superb!

A fantasic show
This was my first DVD from Daniel Tosh, having seen his TV show, and I find his stand up even funnier. He is a great entertainer for the adults out there. Surely one to watch after the kids are in bed.

One of my favourite comedians
Daniel Tosh is, in my opinion, one of the most underrated comics in the business today. "Completely Serious" is typical Tosh, and that is why it's so great. Will not disappoint!

Are you serious?
Seriously, this guy is outrageous. He takes his craft seriously and never disappoints. He is very sharp and his timing is fabulous. Listen carefully.
