Really great instrument, good value too

Does exactly what you need it to do.
Sounds quite nice. I would assume the materials inside are large so it's got a slightly rattly sound rather than a shimmy airy sound. Just depends what you're going for and I've taped it to another shaker to get a bigger sound.

This percussion instrument is an instant hit with the kids and already a favourite in the music box. Great quality and sound.

Children's music class
The instructor at the children's music class used this instrument to illustrate horses clip clop sounds but it's a fun instrument to use all round.

Nice
This is a great little instrument for home or school use. A little smaller than expected and would be nice if the grooves were a little deeper for a better scratch sound, but other than that it is a good Guiro.

Not great
Bought for a music group for adults with learning disabilities. The handle will not stay in have tried everything except gluing it. Also pretty dull thud not what I was hoping for.

Disappointing two tone sound
One side sounded ok like I think it should the other side had no proper noise .We say a horse goes clip clop this would make it sound like clunk clop.I guess I got a lame one so I returned the item.
