This is an incredible series with former British Army officer Ed Stafford, one of the greatest explorers in modern times.Ed aims to survive sixty days on a Fijian Island without anything but his skills, knowledge and camera kit; no clothes, no knife, no water bottle, no food. 110% hard. There's no script, no behind the camera help.You get to see it all the good (shelter building, catching food, fire building), the bad (hunger, plastic rubbish on beach) andcthe ugly (Ed with upset stomach).Ex SAS soldiers didn't believe Ed complete his challenge but Ed is amazing and loves a challenge.

I was recommend the book which i quickly read, but as i wanted to see how Ed actually made his tools, fire and cordage. I downloaded the video.I loved it, Eds struggles and achievements. it was good to see his progress from hapless castaway to survivor..Rd finds a cave as his first shelter before building his own. How he struggles with water and the jubilation when at last he makes fire.must admit i thought he would of done that sooner .. Id like to see more detail on some of the projects but on the whole this is a fantastic documentary on his survival .

Ed stafford is the man I believe the show naked and afraid is on the air because of Ed he was the first to do the challenge I believe thay should have credit him for the inspiration for the series by this DVD if you want to see a real survivalist show how it's done just wish the showed more of his stuff in the USA one word to describe Ed it be gangster

Incredible what Ed went through to survive. Utterly compelling viewing. The only sad point about the whole thing was that he only really managed it because of all the human trash floating through the sea (i.e. water bottles washing up on the beach), but that's nothing to do with Ed, just a reflection on the state of our planet.

Loved it, the trials and tribulations of survival, it takes a big pair of hairy nuts to do something like that.

Interesting enough, but not as exciting as some of his other series.

Great present for someone who loves these types of shows, my boyfriend loved it! Just wish there was more to buy
