Good lock
Not quite big enough to get round frame and back wheel but sturdy enough

This "mini" size works ok
First off, this lock feels reassuringly sturdy; the shackle fits into the crossbar precisely and there's no wiggle at all when it's put on. As I'd expect of a gold rated lock in this price range. Something in it does however rattle a bit when it's carried in the bracket attached to the cycle frame.I was unsure whether to pick this "mini" size or the normal one, and I'm glad I got this. It's big enough to secure the cycle in any cycle stand or iron fence, but won't fit around a lamp post. If you clamp it through the back wheel you'll have about 10 cm left and not that much of a range of angles etc to fit it around a fixed bar, so you might have a hard time getting the cycle in a position that works (the tighter fit should be better for security though). So far I've always been able to secure the cycle to whatever fixed object available in the vicinity, but then again I usually don't bother with locking through the wheel when leaving the bike for a couple of hours - it's not that fancy. With the bracket it fits within the cycle frame of my 27" men's bike without sticking out on any side, but there isn't a lot of room to spare so I doubt the normal size U-lock would have fit without mounting it sideways.I've had no trouble with the lock jamming, but with this kind of lock you'll have to be careful to get the key in all the way, and sometimes it has to be wiggled a bit on the way in if the plates have gotten misaligned.I'm taking a star off for the clumsy keys - I want to keep my key ring small and if all keys had that much plastic around them they'd stick out in all directions. I much prefer all-metal keys that are as flat as possible. Goes without saying that I don't care at all for the bulging led thingie, but there are two more keys which is enough for me.

Average lock, very practical
The lock itself is good quality, but bike thieves nowadays are able to get through any lock with the right tools. I mainly use this lock due to the size, as it allows me to secure my wheel and frame to a rack. Most other standard locks cause issues with this as they aren't long enough, whereas this lock makes it extremely easy.I use 3 d locks on my bike in the hope that if any bike thieves do come along, there happens to be a bike with one less lock than mine.

Good but expensive
I think you should but if will park your bike for long time. This lock is expensive and if live in normal city and park your bike for about 15 minutes, any cheaper D lock will do the work. The key stuck sometimes, and I have to try with it, the lock is brand new.

lock seems ok but the mount not so much...
the lock itself appears ok but the mount seems like it is designed for round frame tubes... but my bike tubes are more square than round so it's impossible to fit tightly. ...did kryptonite actually pay somebody to design this or was it done by an intern?...this mount needs to be totally rethought out. Also the u tube has rubber washers at each end ...if these rubbers were made wider or even just install two per end so they actually made contact with the lock housing then that i think it would cure the rattling complaint i see mentioned on previous reviews. So i now have my own custom mount for this lock ...its called a backpack.Just an update …the lock rusted to the point I couldn’t trust it would unlock anymore and so I threw it away.

Lock
Great price for a lock of this quality, you would pay double in a bike shop.

stuck in less than a month of use
Less than a month after purchase the lock started jamming and making it really difficult to open or close it. After spending 15 minutes trying to unlock it I had to make the decision to stop using it at all or run the risk of never unlocking my bike again! Total waste of money. My last lock cost me half the price and lasted 2 years before it started jamming like that

Solid lock
Solid lock, that is easy to fit to the bike. A little more rattly than an ABUS lock, but not that noticeable really.
