After a few months searching and studying in order to choose the right solution for my home automation I eventually chosen SmartThings environment. Its open architecture allows to insert potentially every product in the network. Are there other systems which work better? The answer is yes. But with some disavantages: they are expensive, or with closed product list, or too complex to configure and setup or not deeplpy tested by the community, or with a limited number of products tested. I'm a professional programmer and I could choose other, more powerful, solutions. But from my point of view this is the smartest solution: not too expensive, easy to configure (also for not-programmers people), open to a wide network standards (zigbee, z-wave, matter, thread, wifi). And always to remember: the solution should be easy to use and manage also by the rest of the family, without calling me every minute... Drawbacks? It needs Internet always connected for remote control. In some cases it can activate some automation rules even offline (e.g.: switch on the light at specific time) but to enjoy all the features you need Internet.

Supplied psu was a eu 2pin/shaver psy so needed to get adaptor to power it. Once installed and set up it adds control to smart devices/switches and such. I used wired connection my router. Setup can a bit tricky and for larger home will need repeaters/mesh entenders to span required locations. Supports most control mesh types and set multi device action.

I read that hub supports ZigBee devices from aqara and devices don't work. I have to search for drivers. Even if I find some drivers devices don't show values. Like simple open/close sensors.
