I've been doing qigong & taichi for about two decades; I read every available classics and books written in Korean, Chinese, and English at one point, and traveled the world to learn from lineage holders. All the knowledge that I have gathered during these two decades gave me crystal clear understanding of the paradigm of qi cultivation, and yet satisfactory progress of actual qi cultivation has been largely elusive. Tanden Revolution changed all that within a few days. Bluntly put, ALL the authors of the books I had read, except one, and ALL the teachers I studied with, again except one, tried very hard not to teach. This fraudulent behavior so common across the community has many roots, but the most blatant one that I know from my experience is simply the lack of real experience themselves. This is what distinguishes Scott's book is that instead of hiding behind mysticism and blindly copying the classics, he writes from his experience which I could intellectually verify from my knowledge and can experientially verify by putting his drills into practice. What I dreamed of experiencing for two decades finally started surprisingly fast (maybe 2 decades of training wasn't 100% wasted), and it all got triggered by doing the drills in this book. It connected the dots for me.

The new standard for internal martial artists....
Let's try this again....So I finally felt the soft wave that Mr. Meredith is teaching you to cultivate and use. WOW now I know why he named one of his books surge. It is intense extremely pleasurable and it's almost as if it gives you superpowers. I am very serious about this. If you are looking to learn the real internal part of internal martial arts you have to get this book, no sorry you need all of his books. Mr. Meredith is a pioneer in this field because nobody is teaching this accept him. At least not in this simple to follow and understand way. I believe that Mr. Meredith should be charging much more for his books. I would of paid thousands for this one book alone. I am very serious about this too. The information and tools he gives us is worth so much to me. I have been looking for this information for a long time. Over 20 years..... don't even think about it go get all his books I promise you, you will be thanking me for it. These books should be a staple for all martial artists.

advertised as standalone, but inside writes you need his other books
I wanted a book that described the exercises to develop tanden/dantien power. I have studied external marital arts for decades and had an understanding of delivering power from the tanden. But i am getting old now and am moving into self study of internal martial arts.Having downloaded and carefully read the free introductions of many such books, this one looked really good. It promised just the exercises, and it stated that one would not need to purchase the author's other books. But once the reader gets to the small portions where there is actually exercise material, one is told that the lower body is covered in the Akai Singularity, and that one needs to read the author's other books to understand other aspects of jin fa. These disclaimers are written almost in passing.I felt ripped off big time. A good portion of this book is fluff, talking repeatedly about how so many people will never feel this power, how "wow" it is, and so on. Certainly some of the space spent of fluff could have been replaced with material that the author promised in the opening of the book. This is not the only author who uses one book to get customers to purchase all his other products. I don't know if one can learn anything by buying all his books, or that one will find all the required books to be circular references of each other. But I know there are good books out there that encompass the whole subject, and this is not one of those books.

THE internal energy manual for those looking for personal experience
This book is probably the best internal energy primer you can find anywhere. It's certainly the simplest and clearest. (You might need to read this author's Aiki Singularity and/or his Juice: Radical Taiji Energetics for it to be complete. But this same author's other books are the only real competition.)If you've ever wondered about internal energy/ki/vital energy/internal strength/chi/qi ... here it is. It's not particularly mystic, it's something you can feel for yourself through practical experience without having to meditate in a cave for 30 years. In this slim little book S.E. Meredith talks readers through how to begin feeling the remarkable sensation that is internal energy.Tanden Revolution makes it as simple as the real thing is; no advanced body diagrams or elaborate mental images. Just the basic, practical instructions for those who want to experience for themselves. In other words, invaluable teaching.

Since reading Juice I have read all of Scott's books and trained with them and have gotten wonderful results. I was especially glad when it seemed to come full circle back to themes touched upon in the first book in the publication of this work. For me the most advanced work seems to also be of the first steps. Really getting those down to ensure the success of the later ones. I like coming back to beginnings and going deep with them. If that is that case with you, you won't be disappointed with what is contained in this manual of practice. But it not just basic practices there are steps spun out of those beginnings which are just mind blowing.Simplicity and depth. That's how I characterize what Scott's generosity given to us in this incredible book.

I grabbed extra copies for family. In general the author has a wealth of material online and in fb social media group. (named Merge) TR book locks it in for both ground level beginners and experienced audience, been waiting for this one. This book really pulls it all together, sealing the process. True orchid in a valley.

What a great book. Do the drills and be patient the reward is worth it. Scott's books aren't long but the information he puts in it is usually not too much fluff It's just straight to the point.
