Bates Magnetic Light Switch Guard, 2 Pack, Clear, Child Proof Cover, Lock, Wall Switch Guard

This was used to prevent a hidden/blind adjoining light switch from being turned on. It has worked wonderfully for that. The magnets attach it to the screws yet can the cover can be easily removed as necessary. Made of a clear plastic, the look is acceptable in all situations I can think of. It prevents unwanted switching yet can be rmoved without tools. A good find and great product!

This is exactly what I wanted. I simply want to avoid inadvertently turning on/off what is wired to the wall switch. As adults only are in the house, this is no problem. The plate attaches with two magnets, not screws, so a curious toddler or youngster would likely be able to remove it, exposing the switch.

The media could not be loaded. This product offers excellent value and is incredibly easy to install. The magnetic attachment snaps on in just seconds, and it's perfect for preventing accidental touches on switches.However, it isn’t 'childproof' against toddlers or new-borns, if they could reach the switches, due to the weak magnet. It will not withstand the curiosity of little ones. Nonetheless, I am very pleased with the product.

These are a great concept but not necessarily what I was looking for. I was trying to find a way to prevent my toddler from flipping the light switches on and off to lights that aren't meant to be turned off like those that are attached to Smart light bulbs. However this is only held down by magnets and they're not very strong a simple swipe of a 2-year-old's hand knocks them off with ease. I would definitely recommend if you have a similar situation to get something similar to this that screws in rather than held on by magnets.

Magnets are not the strongest but they cover the switch. They do stay on. If in a high traffic area might need something a little stronger but they are fine for us. Simple to put on.

I should have paid attention to the reviews that say the magnet isn't strong enough. You don't even have to touch the switch to dislodge the cover, if you bump the wall near it, the cover falls off the switch.

The media could not be loaded. I am very happy with this product. I have smart lights but house-guests would flip the light switches and mess up the bulb settings. I had the switches taped up but it was unsightly and the tape still was not a fail safe. We have almond plates so white was not an option and then I found these clear covers which are perfect. I was concerned that the magnets would not work well since our plates are the type that hides the plate screws but that was not the case. They work well and are the perfect solution.
