I love good tools. What I really prefer is good tools that don't break the bank. This taper jig is simple and effective for doing what it was designed to do. Now, I do suggest you take your time and setup the jig with other materials. I would not recommend using it as is. Instead, cut some well-planed and true boards, fasten them to the jig and voila! You have a high-dollar jig that cuts tapers on your table saw just like the expensive ones. Also, I found that using a really accurate angle instrument (digital angle gauge is my preferred tool and costs about twenty bucks here on Amazon) makes adjusting the taper so much easier. Give it a go!

A really good taper jig is expensive with a big benefit being it will hold the work in place for you. This jig is reasonably priced but a little scary to use for me as it was my first time with a taper jig. I make sure to do my homework on its use and my project came out great.

Good quality, easy to set up and works so much better than my worn out shop built jig.

Too Lightweight, stop doesn’t hold thin materials, gauge arm doesn’t hold angle...

This came in the small box, I put it together, and from all intents and purposes it will do what I need it to do. I have not used it, but I see no reason why it won't be perfect 2/26 Finally got a chance to use this. It worked perfectly!!!! Thanks guys for a perfect tool.

Was easy to assemble and is exactly what the description of product advertised. I haven’t used the product to date so I didn’t give 5 stars. Emails to ask for reviews so early after purchase (five days) is a little irritating, a month down the road would be in my opinion a more reasonable amount of time to request a review.
