This does everything I need from a food processor
I bought this thinking it might be something I use a few times and then it gets relegated to a cupboard but it is so useful. The food processor itself is great and I have used the majority of attachments at one time or another. The only slight negative is that the graters sit slightly lower than the lid and so you end up with a chunky bit of food after using them. The beaters and dough hook were features I wasn't sure that I would ever use but it certainly speeds up cake and pasta making for certain! The 2 blenders are nice additional items. The large one I use for smoothies in the summer and soups in the winter. It's easy to use and to clean. The smaller one that I think it called a herb grinder or similar I find great for small batch pastes like for a curry base. I would say this gets use several times a week and was definitely a worthwhile investment.

A good quality product, 800w motor easily chops/slices and blends.
I have owned this product for several months and pleasantly surprised. It grates cheese and carrots without binding or becoming mushy. It does leave a small amount of carrots and cheese on top of the grating/slicing blades but not an issue if you stop the machine & clear before feeding more carrots in. Also used for chopping kidney beans & mixing ingredients for veggie burgers. I have also made date & almond truffles, easily. The glass blender although I found it stiff to dismantle the blades from the jug, it cleans easily when I have made green smoothies, with spinach and kale. It is worth noting that the jug is a 5 cup jug, however sufficient for my needs. The switch has no grip if hands are wet but once dry is fine to turn. The feet suckers add some grip but the processor does slide back/forward on the work top, when pushed. However does not move on its own, when in use. Overall I am pleased with this processor, with stainless steel and black appearance & for its price/performance.

Minor annoyances but pretty good
I bought this as the only one with a 4mm grater in this price range - I don't like mushy coleslaw but I'm sick of the occasional julienne finger on a mandoline. It makes really great coleslaw! I also tried grating hard cheeses then changed the blade and chucked scone ingredients in - lovely cheese scones. It'll do pastry, sponge cake, lovely! The blender is a bit so-so. My Braun hand blender will whizz up a glass of smooth fruit lassi in a matter of seconds fairly quietly but this blender takes rather longer and makes the racket from hell doing it. Still, it will puree a litre of fruit in its own sweet time so can't complain. The jug is strong and it's great for making a big jug of smoothie type drink and will also do fairly hot soup without cracking. Ok people's complaints about it being really hard to get the bottom off the blender - this is very true the first time but it's fine the second time. I was cursing round the kitchen wrenching with a tea towel the first time but it's going on and off like a lamb now. The diameter is awkward in your hand but that's the price you pay for the capacity. The only thing that's slightly annoying is the gasket - it falls out, it's ok on the blender but when screwing it on the spice mill upside down it can be fiddly. I've got a dedicated coffee mill that will whizz up 3 tbsp of beans for espresso in seconds. You would grow old waiting for the spice mill on this Kenwood to do that. Don't rely on it as a coffee mill for espresso but it's probably fine for a cafetier. It'll do spices ok but again it's not really going to powder them. Well it might if you're more patient than me. About fitting the processor top onto the base - yeah, again it's a knack but you quickly get the hang of it. Like any food processor it doesn't work unless the base and the lid are both clicked home. It's a bit stiff at first and I can see how people get confused, you have to be firm with it and fiddle a bit but it does loosen up with use and you get the hang of it - it's well worth the bother. The parts are extremely robust for a food processor in this range. The blade is really sharp, I've cut myself carelessly. Treat it with the respect it deserves - my old one was pretty blunt. Sharp is better. The two disks are great, reversible 2mm and 4mm grater in one side, same size slicer on the other. This means you can grate veg at 4mm without it turning to stringy mush but can also finely grate parmesan etc at 2mm. The 2mm slicer does cabbage nicely for coleslaw, pickling or fermenting. Or course it leaves a bit at the bottom but every food processor does that unless you want to mince in the bottom of a wooden pusher. All of it except the base can go in the dishwasher which is a really major plus. I also like the removable spindle and compact base which means it can sit in a corner of the worktop - very handy to reach for, I use it a lot more than the old one which had to be fetched from a cupboard. All in all this is a great all rounder for the price. It does some things very well and others so-so but if you're only going to have one mid range food processor this will do pretty much anything you want - just a bit more slowly than gadgets designed for a single purpose. Excellent quality for the price.

A fantastic food processor
After much research, I decided to go with this product and that turned out to be a excellent choice. Have had this product for a number of years now and is still dependable and fully functional. Comes with a good number of accessories and I have had no issue with the capacity. Recommended.

Compact, sleek and sharp blades
I got this item from Amazon with 3 year guarantee on any repairs and accidental damage. It is sleek and compact, sharp blades and well designed. The kenwood processor is good for a family if 4 and it does an awful lot and more. I can make milkshakes, blend tomaotes for lasagna but it doesn't blend them very very finely. I like it that way because you can feel the texture in the mouth rather than just a smooth paste. The small jar I have used for grinding Indian spices, grinding ginger and garlic and make chutneys and its awesome. I do hot and cold but its best to let the food cool down if its too hot. Again, if the texture is not fine I just add a little glug of water. I also made a dough for banana bread and normal bread no problems. It does nice whipping of cream and choclate brownie. It's not the best but its okay for what I need. If you need it for whipping and making dough everyday than I'm afraid this may not be very useful for you. The grater blades are sharp and everything is grated nicely. No issues with any vegs, meat and cheese. Overall happy to recommend for someone who doesn't want to spend over £300 on the blender -trust me anything under this price is all very much the same, be able to do a bit of everything and at the same time don't want to have 3 set of processors for each task. Two flaws: You may find that in the begnining its hard to click in the accessories but once you got the nack -bobs your uncle. Second, I would prefer if the jars bottom and processor top were not plasticky as a rough use may cause them to break. However, paying extra £17 quid for 3 years peace of mind is no brainer. These days nothing will last over 5 years.

It is simple to use and to clean . Works efficiently . Not as noisy as some other blenders. Hope it will continue to function well for a long timeS

THIS PROCESSOR IS GOOD .IT IS SIMPLE AND VERY EASY TO USE AND VERY EASY TO CLEAN. A NOISY BUT IT IS OKAY. EVEN THE FIRST SPEED GETS THE JOB WELL DONE.

Third time I got a mixer from them. Each lasted 3+years with daily use. This one is weird, the caps and attachments are grey. Then the mixer and grinder base is black. Looks awful. Like I cobbled this together in the dump. The mixer cap and lid dont fit. Very disappointed. Edited: I made the mistake of ordering this again directly from Kenwood thinking I would get a good set. Its again a mix of black and grey parts and then the glass mixer jug is opaque! I think its salvaged from the dump yard or something. I am horrified. Do not buy this brand! They have a 7 day return policy, and charge you the delivery fee & a further 5% for returns. Unbelievable. I am stuck with a dud peice and have to spend again on a proper set.

The item design / engine appears to be faulty. When I tried to use this accessory, the rubber became entangled in the accessory even though it was placed at the correct location. There is another instance of something similiar happening with another accessory.
