10/10 would buy again.
This cutting board is amazing. I want another to lay them side by side for rolling out dough. I was surprised to have the red of the wood transfer and wash off a little at first, so be advised that's going to happen. Still wonderful to have a solid slab wood cutting board with 0 glue free from cracks, cut well slightly diagonal to the grain. Looks like tigers eye when it's oiled. Beautiful and essential addition to any kitchen.

Beautiful
I am so glad I took the risk and bought this chopping board. It is one solid piece, not more than one glued together. Not stained or treated at all. Exactly what I was looking for. It did need to be sanded smooth when it arrived but that seemed reasonable to me for the price. Should last many many years. I use organic fractionated coconut oil to seal.

Horrifying black patches developed quickly on the board
This is the worst cutting board I ever owned! I was pretty excited at first and thought I finally had my peace of mind with a safe cutting surface to use. Lo and behold, just days later horrifying ink black patches started to appear on the board right as I was cutting my vegetables. You can’t wash them off!I suspect the board was treated by certain chemicals and they were reacting with the juices from the vegetables. How horrifying and ironic that is! It was the exact reason why I ordered a single piece wood so it would be free from chemicals like the binding glue etc. This is a hundred times worse! I never saw anything like this.

Perfect size
This is a great quality board. It's just the right size. Anything bigger would be hard to wash. It does feel rough. I did take 1000 grit sand paper to smooth this out. I finished it with olive oil.

Not Teak!
I'm from Central India and have used Teak lifelong for doors, window frames and furniture. This cutting board is okay and a solid block of wood; but it's definitely not Teak! It's a much softer wood and very easily scratched after my first usage (just cutting onions and garlic)! So, please note while deciding to order this item!

...if you switched to a wood board rather than have micro pieces of plastic in your food, know that you will have micro pieces of wood in your food, instead.
