Great product for money and documents. Well made! We hope the fireproof bags are never tested.

Feels very well built
These bags seem much better built than the previous purchase I had. In addition it has a reflective strip on the front that you can see easily in a dark safe. I am looking for a larger version of it right now.

Not fireproof. But most bags aren’t.
(Item: Fireproof Money Bag 4200°F - Heat Insulated, 9.8 x 6.5" Small Fireproof Document Bag with Waterproof Zipper, Fireproof Bag with Reflective Strip and Fireproof Edeging, Fire Pouch Set for Valuables)I work in an environment that utilizes actual fireproof bags. Some of these bags are highly fire resistant on the outside to protect items from fire and heated elements. Other bags are completely fireproof internally, meaning they can be used to house electronic devices that are on fire or that may conduct thermal runway. This bag is neither.UL94 VTM testing only tests the flammability of a material when a flame is held directly under it for short periods of time (usually 10-30 seconds) over multiple passes. While the body of the bag (the silver-colored material) is fire-resistant to some degree, the binding materials (zipper, nylon seams, stitching, etc) are all very flammable and would probably not last for more than 5-7 seconds before burning. Additionally, there was no UL94 VTM certification included with the bags. When looking for a product like this, keep in mind that document bags like these probably wouldn’t sell as well (or be found as often in searches) if they were just labeled as ‘Fire-resistant’ rather than ‘Fireproof’. People understandably want piece-of-mind when buying a product like this. Just be realistic with expectations. These bags will help to protect your documents/money from some smoke exposure during a fire. But at best, these will only provide fire resistance for less than a couple minutes. Definitely not for hours. If you’ll be using this or similar bags to protect your documents/money, layer that protection by then placing the bags in a fireproof/fire-resistant safe.

Well made
First, we don't have paper money worth putting in these two bags. But we do have documents that should be in a safer container 'just in case' and to make them easy to 'grab and go' as part of an emergency "go bag". The distinctive look also makes it easy to identify in a grab and go emergency, although the words "money bag" on the outside (see picture) might attract unwanted people who happen to see it.These two bags are attractively priced and seem very well made. They have a reflective aluminum layer inside, and a black zipper under the white velcro (see picture). The inside is big enough for folded papers and things like passports. The outside seems to be a kind of grey plastic or polymer that is the opposite of slippery, but not tacky/sticky. It also makes one wonder if it might melt along with other parts of the bags that seem to be plastic, this raises the question of how to test if they are fireproof? One way might be to put them in a barbeque grill, but we will let someone more adventurous try that.
