Excellent Headphones
My ancient headphones finally died so I had to procure a replacement. Having been a loyal SportsTracker Subscriber for years, I was aware of the launch of Suunto’s Wings Headphones. They are specifically made for use by athletes or those engaged in physical activity who either value or require the ability to both enjoy music and listen to ambient background noise. These headphones excel at that.Build quality seems above average and ease of use seems above average. They are advertised as waterproof. Today I used them on a trail run in a rainstorm with no issues. The bone induction system seems to lose some high frequency response, but this seems a minor trade off for the durability and other features that are present for which the product is intended to be used.Happy with my purchase. Hope this provides some insight to prospective users.

At least as good as the Shokz openrun
The quality I expected from Suunto is there.Since they're so new to the market, (only 19 reviews when I purchased them) I was concerned that choosing them over the Shokz openrun (19,000 reviews) was a big gamble.I bought them because I trust the Suunto brand; the gamble paid off, they didn't disappoint me.I've run, rucked, bicycled, 300+ miles with these, in wind, rain, sun, and they have been great. They are comfortable, not heavy, they work with sunglasses, beanie, bandana; i have long scruffy hair, and hatever I'm wearing I always forget they're even there.I thought the red lights were stupid, but I actually had to use that feature before, running back home in the dark, and I felt safer.

Huge iphone Bluetooth problem
So I purchased the Suunto Wing because I wanted multi use multi purpose headphones. I wanted to be able to connect to my iphone for my workouts and also wanted to use the AptX Low latency protocol to connect to my Minelab Equinox metal detector on the beach. APTX is a must for Metal detecting headphones. I have to use hearing aids, which is one of the reasons I wanted a set of bone conduction headphones because my ear canals are already being use with my hearing aids. My hearing aids are also Bluetooth and must be connected to the hearing aids App in order for me to be able to control them.I received the Suunto Wings very quick in the mail...they were very well packaged. The build quality looks very good. The fit was pretty good also. Now, I had read some of the reviews on Amazon and also about the Bluetooth connectivity issues with iphones that some buyers had, but I figured it may have been due to just user error in setting it up or something like that. But as it turns out, the bad reviews were justified. The first time I turned them on and connected to my iphone they worked okay...Sound Quality is somewhere in between AM Radio Station Quality and FM Radio Quality. If you turn up the volume they vibrate against your temples and it is quite noticeable and annoying. I played a nice Classic Rock playlist and I noticed that the music would have a burp (LAG) once in a while randomly. A few google searches later, Okay. I tried the recommendations on many web sites including Apple's and Suunto's web sites. Reset the headphones and disconnect all BT devices. Nothing worked. I tried them connected to my Desktop Pc and they did work fine there, absolutely no issues...The connectivity with Apple is a well know issue with the Suunto Wings...I own really cheap head sets that work flawlessly with Apple iPhones. Suunto Support which is just a chatbot wants you to disconnect every Bluetooth device connected to your phone so these can work...I tried that and they still lagged like crazy....I need to use hearing aids that must be connected at all times to my iPhone, so I cannot just disconnect and forget all my other Bluetooth devices connected to my iphone. So, Sadly they are going back.

The sound is too low
Been wanting to buy these since they were released on October last year. One of the best features of these headphones is the portable charging case. If you are training for an ultramarathon and need battery for more than 10 hours, you can use the case instead of having to stop and change headphones. Also if you lose the charging cable you can use a type C charger for the case and charge them that way, saving money on buying more cables. The reason I returned this item was because the audio was too low, pratically unusable. If I was talking on the phone or listening to music while running in the city I was not able to hear the other person/music when a bus passed or other similar noises. I also have shockz headphones and they don't have thid issue. Otherwise, the headphones innovative features are great.
