No, it is NOT stupid!!
Although you might think "what a stupid contraption", if you have a dog and you get a puppy then getting out and about is essential and until their 2nd Vaccination they cannot go on the floor (and even after that it's only for 5-10 minutes at a time), so to walk my 14month old dog as well as care for a puppy I needed this (holding a puppy and trying to pick up dog poo and then tie the bag is literally impossible!).So, yes, it's very discreet (until the puppy moved/popped her head out, walkers often didn't even notice she was there, thought it was part of my jacket!) but SOOOOO much easier to walk another dog and not have tired arms/difficulty attending to the needs of the dog on the floor.I only used this until my cockerpoo was 4-5 months old, and although I think it says up to 10Kg (unless it's a small doggy) you are looking at maybe 5-6kg and then it is too awkward to put the dog in the sling.

for socialising a puppy that can't go on the floor yet, it's a great product.
Very interesting product. Felt a bit silly carrying a GSD puppy around in a sling at first but very quickly got over it.We couldn't put the puppy on the ground as it was not fully vaccinated and vets advice was to socialise as much as possible but not put down on the ground -" not worth the risk."So - we used the puppy sling for 2 weeks and it did the trick. Puppy was comfortable in it for up to an hour. it was pretty comfortable for my husband but I found it less so. Not a fault of the product just a fact of life, the puppy quickly got quite heavy.Overall though for socialising a puppy that can't go on the floor yet, it's a great product.

Pet carrier - really?
I'm not really sure where my head was when I decided on this purchase :( I had a young pup and wanted to take him out and about in town prior to finishing vaccinations. As I wanted to be hands-free to negotiate doors, etc, I looked around for a suitable carrier. After much research I opted for this!I can honestly say this is downright dangerous to a dog being carried in it.It has a bit of foam padding ... I never worked out where this was meant to go, I would have assumed over a shoulder to take some of the pressure off, but it reached no where near my shoulder. The cord and toggles designed to take in some of the fabric, and reduce the hole the dog is sitting in, failed. As soon as weight from the dog was on the base of the bag then the cord just slipped through the toggles. My pup was not overly wriggly. It was well within the weight range this item is supposedly designed for.Unfortunately I left it too late to return and get a full refund. My fault, but I cannot recommend this product.

Overall a great idea
Searched for ages to get a bag which would be big enough for my 8 week old lab with some room for him to grow. As he wasn't due his 2nd vac until wk 10, the sling was excellent to carry him around in. He weighed 5kg when we got him and he weighs 6 -7kg now he is 10wks old and he still fits the bag.Positive points: good size, draw strings, padded wide shoulder strap, available in different colours, not too expensive, well made, functions well the majority of timeNegative aspects, never felt 100% completely secure although the stitching and material was good. Possibly needs more adjustment options. What I will say is that it states it can can cope with up to 15kg which is heavy! Most bags can't even do 5kg.

Good
I have a little sausage dog puppy who loved this carrier. The material is quite thin so I used a little blanket for her. You can tighten it a lot so they’re secure. I only used until she had her vaccinations and sometimes still use it when the walk is too long so she’s not over exercised.

2kg and it wouldn't be comfortable for a long period
the shoulder strap is way to wide and hits your neck. My puppy is only tiny 1.2kg and it wouldn't be comfortable for a long period. Maybe it's different if you have a heavier dog in this but for my lil puppy would have been nice to have a softer or thinner bit up against your neck.

Disappointing and unsuitable for a 8 week pup weighing only 7kg
Not a good buy as the bag lacks any depth and so didn’t really hold in snugly, nor support, my 8 week old pup weighing only 7kg. It was simpler and more c9mfortable for the dog to be carried in my arms. Save your money.

PET CARRIER dangerous rubbish
The first time I used this carrier the pull ties broke and my 8 week old puppy nearly fell out...........I just caught him. Also no way would this carrier take a 15kg animal it is not supportive enough..... I would have returned it but as I prepared for my puppy early it was past the 30 days return date by the time I first used it.....BUYER BEWARE
