Nag Champa Patchouli Forest - 40 Gram Box - Satya Sai Baba Incense

I love this incense! It reminds me of a patchouli incense I used to buy at A Shop Called East; a very cool chain store that had the best incense, candles, and all sorts of clothing, pottery, masks, dolls, jewelry, hand carved wooden items from trivets, to headboards for beds, and metal artisan products from Asia. It was an incense smell that I could never find again after that chain of stores closed. Sure, I could find plain old patchouli just about anywhere but, not like that one.Until I discovered Satya Patchouli Forest while at a Blues Festival but, then couldn't find anywhere I shopped. I didn't really think about Amazon when I was looking for incense. Then one day, I asked myself, why wouldn't they? They have everything else. And heck if they didn't have it. YAY!!! It's a scent that isn't exactly like the old A Shop Called East scent but, pretty darned close.This is a fragrance that will take Baby Boomers back to their hippie heyday.Pairs well with Joe Walsh, The Moody Blues, Canned Heat, Jimi Hendrix, Procol Harum, Jefferson Airplane, as well as Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young.

Having used Nag Champa for years I thought that this item might be what I was looking for in patchouli. Although it is good, it seems to fall just a bit short of being a great product. Their nag champa is a much better choice. However, like their nag it burns good, none of that weird chemical smell often found in some brands. Nice incense but again their nag is better.

I'm a big fan of all of the Satya/Nag Champa incense and this one is simply wonderful. If you're expecting a single note patchouli scent you may be disappointed. This, like most of the Nag Champa line of incense, is the classic Nag Champa fragrance with a patchouli undernote. It's an incredible fragrance that lingers for a few days after burning just one stick. Each stick burns for 30-45 minutes. It is a strong scent, so sensitive people may not be able to handle it, but if you're a fan of Nag Champa or Superhit, you'll love this incense.

It has a pleasant smell, but it sometimes makes me sneeze. Also, it does smell SORT of like patchouli, but it’s got something else in it.

I wondered what the "forest" in "patchouli forest" would mean. I was hoping it would have a strong patchouli scent. Instead it is relatively faint, and smells like a combination of the original nag champa, and perhaps a little sandlewood. It's a great smell, really, assuming you like each of those elements, but it your looking for patchouli, you won't find much of it here.

I usually purchase oils but wanted to see if I would like incense.I do like the fragrance after, hours after, the burn but still prefer oils as they have multiple uses.

I really wish shoppennylanes would get out of the incense selling business because they are really taking advantage of the Amazon good faith buyers. I just received this and couldn't be more disappointed. There's just no way anyone with good "honest" intentions would send this old worthless garbage out to anyone. This incense is very poor quality I would suggest you purchase your incense elsewhere because it is very old dried out and has no scent left. I returned mine for a refund.
