Works great for pressure cooker, once you change the handle
I have a 6qt and 8 qt Instant Pot and was looking for a strainer to cook small grains like quinoa and rice, something that could steam my veggies, and something to keep some meats out of the liquid while it's cooking. This seemed like the perfect solution. I read the reviews, pros and cons, and knew I would need to alter the handles to fit into the pot. I'm not sure why some people were upset by this, it's much cheaper than other options and only took a little tweaking. My husband the rim of the basket into a vice grip and then used a pair of pliers to simply bend the handle inward. I didn't want the handle removed all together since this seemed like it would be hard to get the basket out without handles. I figured if I didn't like the alterations, I could always remove them later.Well, it's been almost a year now and I love it! It's used almost daily and I havent had any issues with the original soldering of the handles coming off, or any part of the basket weave breaking due to constant high pressure. It's easy to throw in the dishwasher and doesn't keep any odors locked in. I keep it stored right inside my pot since it's used so frequently.I haven't needed to remove the handles, but it is a very tight squeeze in my 6 qt. I really make sure the lid is secure and firmly attached before I start cooking in it because I don't want any issues. It fits much better in the 8qt. I don't have the 7 qt (yet) but would imagine it would fit fine once you alter the handles. I submitted 2 pictures inside the pot. The smaller one is the 6 quart, the roomier pot is the 8.I would only recommend buying this for an Instant Pot / electric pressure cooker if you understand it will have to be modified before it will fit. It's really easy, and well worth the cost savings!

Great Strainer to be Used Inside My Instant Pot or For Smaller Households
I bought this to use inside of my 7 qt Instant Pot, and it works great! Just the perfect size to fit inside of it. I did have to snap off handles to make it work in my Instant Pot, but I was expecting to do that. They were a little hard to get to come off so I do believe they will stay on well if you were not planning on removing them. The fine mesh keeps veggies from falling through and makes it more like a steamer. This strainer is easy to lift out of the pressure cooker.I would find it a little small if I was using it for a typical strainer because we have a large family of five people. If it were just you or maybe two people it would be okay to use. So it would be a great wedding gift or house warming present.I do like that it is stainless steel that just makes me feel better about using it. So many things are plastic or have some weird coating on them, and you do not know what you are using and if it has any side effects to using them.Pros:Low PriceFits in 7 qt Instant Pot with handles removedStainless SteelSuitable for Couples or IndividualsFine mesh, but not to fineCons:Would be small for large familiesWould I Purchase Them Again: YESDid You Find My Review Helpful? Great Quality, But Does Not Fit 6 qt Instant Pot Without Severely Bending the Handles
I purchased this steamer basket since some of the people who answered questions here said you merely need to slightly bend the handles upwards and it will fit the Instant Pot. Well, I don't think one can merely "slightly bend" the handles... After trying a bit of force with my hands it became clear that the handles would most likely break if I bent them trying to fit my 6 qt. instant pot.I ended up buying one of those collapsible steamers that you put in the bottom of a pot. The one I got is about 7 1/4 inches collapsed at base and about 11 inches when fully expanded. It's fits the Instant Pot perfectly! For anyone who's choosing to merely use this product in something other than an Instant Pot, I think it should work great and provide years of good use! It seems to be very strong and well made. By the way this basket measures about 7 1/4 inches wide and about 10 1/2 inches from the ends of each handle; the actual basket is about 4 inches tall (not including the feet). My 6 qt. Instant Pot measures about 8 5/8 inches wide which means this basket is about 1 1/2 inches to wide for my Instant Pot.

Love this strainer!
I don’t write reviews very often, I will admit I am quite a difficult customer to please. This strainer is awesome! The mesh is very sturdy and the handles too. The size is also just right, not too small where things are overflowing but doesn’t take up a lot of shelf space either. I boiled an entire packet of capellini and it was just big enough, yay!!! Excited to wash rice in it next, the mesh has tight sturdy holes, I’m confident there won’t be a grain of rice lost. And the cherry on top….good price!

3qt Great as pool skimmer
The media could not be loaded. Credit to another reviewer for this idea. Works great as pool skimmer basket. It catches more smaller stuff so be sure to clear it!

Using it for my 8 quart Instant Pot
So far, so good! On the recommendation of many Instant Pot aficionados, I bought this basket to use in my 8 quart Instant Pot. Being the 8 quart, I thought that for sure I’d be able to bend the handles and fit it into my liner pot...But that didn’t really work out.So I resorted to trying to twist off the handles (as many users have suggested). When I first got the basket and tried, I didn’t think I’d be able to get the handles off because I’m too much of a weakling. The handles are pretty sturdy, and I didn’t think I’d get them off on my own. So I put it down and came back to it later. I twisted one of the handles up and down a few times and gave a little tug...and I’m surprised at how easily it came off with a little (but not too much) effort!I only took one handle off, but kept the other one on so I have something to grab onto. It fits quite well in my liner like that.So far, I’ve used it to steam veggies in my Instant Pot and love it!I think I’ll also be using it to wash grains, such as rice and quinoa. This mesh basket is great and well made, even if you didn’t intend to use it specifically for an Instant Pot. I’ll be getting lots of good use out of it!

Perfect fit for 8Q Instant Pot!
I was so glad to read the other review that this would fit perfectly in the 8Q Instant Pot, it totally does! I popped off the handles (followed instructions from reviews for RSVP) and voila! Just a tiny bit of wiggle room, can't wait to use it!!!
