🔌 UGREEN USB Hub: USB-A Still Kicking! ($6.99 Powerhouse)
I bought this little hub to do more with my Raspberry Pi project. Naturally, I'm now using it for way more than that because it's a handy little device with the power of USB 3.0. You can't beat the value here! It was only $6.99 to my door—which is the cost of two or 3 cheap cups of coffee—and the quality is fantastic! For such a low price, I expected something flimsy, but this thing is solid. It's also compact an portable - so it can get lost in a pocket with the change for your next cup of coffee. The best part? It uses the classic USB-A connector. There's no fancy USB-D or USB-Z nonsense here—I don't even know if that's a thing, but I know this tried-and-true connection always fits (even if I have to flip it three times first). It's the perfect solution for modern electronics that assume you only need one port.

Great hub, works flawlessly with MacOS.
Solid USB hub. It works perfectly with the M4 MacBook Air and M5 MacBook Pro and allows me to use a few flash drives for movies rather than paying the Apple Tax for additional storage. I watched several hours of TV on a flash drive and the hub never got hot. UGREEN makes great stuff and this is no different.

Works well with USB Extension cable
I am using this USB splitter as a surface mounted USB on my DIY monitor stand. I ordered this one in particular because it was affordable and very low profile. Using some generic double sided tape, I stuck the hub to the bottom of the wooden shelf portion and connected it the PC using a 3ft USB extension cable. I previously used a different brand of USB splitter but something broke inside and was causing an error. So I replaced it with this one and have gotten great results. It works perfectly and is capable of charging as well as data transmission. I never have any lag issues when using a mouse plugged into this device. As far as I can tell, the power output is similar other USB hubs I've used. The wire on this one is super short but I did see multiple wire length options. Or you can just use a USB extension cable instead. Overall, I'm super happy with this USB hub. It works great for my needs and is super low profile. It doesn't take up any more room than needed. 10/10 product, works great and is very reasonably priced.

An Instrument of Convenience in a Tangled Age
In these modern times, when the multiplicity of devices clamors for attention and connection, the UGREEN USB 3.0 Hub, with its four ports, presents itself as a most commendable instrument of order. Its construction is modest yet firm, the ports accommodating a variety of implements with ease and without fuss. I have employed it with several devices—external drives, keyboards, and a host of other technological appendages—and found it to perform with admirable constancy, maintaining swift transmission of data as if it were an obedient steward attending to the whims of its master. Yet, perfection remains elusive. The hub, though competent, does not escape entirely the occasional flicker of instability under duress, and the length of its cable may, for some, impose slight inconvenience. Nevertheless, these trifles are easily outweighed by the convenience it affords, bringing order to the chaos of multiple connections. Four stars, for the device demonstrates both utility and steadfastness, a faithful companion for those who navigate the ever-growing labyrinth of modern electronics.

Good price, worked as soon as i plugged it in
My old hub bit the dust after many years. I only have one USB slot on my laptop but i have two printers and i was tired of switching them out to print after about a week. this one was a good price, and it worked as soon as i plugged everything in. It even works with the little USB mouse dongle for when the Bluetooth gives up the ghost halfway through something important. Well worth the money just for the mouse situation :P

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY for a back up laptop :: FIT FOR PURPOSE
LOVE UGREEN products, including this USB 3.0 hub with 4 ports! With an attractive and unobtrusive plug and play ultraslim profile, it can be stored and hidden beneath a legacy 13.3-inch MacBook Pro's laptop stand, plugged in 24/7, while also accommodating a legacy Logitech trackball, and a 2TB Seagate portable external hard drive for running Time Machine backups. Like it or not, USB "A" is going to be around for a long time - especially if you have a bunch of legacy devices. That leaves most of us needing to expand the number of USB ports from our laptop or other devices. Please do note that this hub is not intended for high power consumption devices or charging. It may trickle a small charge to your phone or tablet, but expect it to take a very long time. I use this for numerous devices that are primarily moving data and it handles them all efficiently. Webcam, printer, sound bar, mouse, keyboard, thumb drives, and the list goes on. I even have one with the longer cable attached to my desktop computer that has a plethora of USB ports, but many are on the back of the tower out of reach. After all, USB is about quick and easy access. So why this one? I've owned a number of USB hubs and this is the best one I've found so far. One of the biggest problems with lesser USB hubs is a poor fiit of the USB A ports that can result in sketchy connections. Not good when you're transferring critical data. This is particularly important with a laptop where the hub may be dangling or input cables may move around. Additionally it feels sturdy, its compact size helps keep my desk tidy, and I have not yet found a use case where it doesn't work although as they say, YMMV.

The UGREEN USB Hub 3.0 is a fantastic addition to my desk setup. With multiple ports, it makes connecting several devices a breeze, from external drives to peripherals like keyboards and mice. The build quality is excellent, with a sturdy design that feels premium. The data transfer speed is impressive, living up to the 3.0 standard. Files transfer quickly, and there’s no noticeable lag. I also appreciate the plug-and-play functionality, as it works seamlessly with my laptop and desktop without needing additional drivers. Its compact size is another plus, taking up minimal desk space while keeping everything organized. Whether for work or personal use, this hub is reliable, efficient, and well worth the price. One issue I did find was that there are issues with my wireless headphones that use a USB receiver. Not the fault of the UGREEN hub, as in my headphones manual it says that if using a USB hub, it needs to be powered. Overall I would recommend this as long as you are not using it for wireless headphones.
