Truly the best one
Absolutely the best mandoline I've ever owned or used. Incredibly fast and productive when you have a lot of slicing and julienne to do. Very much worth the extra money over the plastic OXO mandolines for the solid build, ease of use and easy cleaning. The way you simply twist the dial to set different julenne cuts is genius! No need to change blades (like lower priced OXO) or flip levers around (like Bron). The food holder works superbly, and the whole thing cleans up easily with a bristled scrubber.

Used often because it's so eady
Versatile, precise, even, and multiple thicknesses in cuts. Safety gaurd is great - you get all of the produce. This is easy to pull out and use. It's not bulky and heavy and that means it's getting used a lot. The design is a bit brilliant and impressive. It's easy to clean and easy to store.

Not the sharpest knife in the drawer
I think America's Test Kitchen got it right -- the Oxo mandoline is tied for the best on the market -- but the slicing blade really isn't very sharp. That makes it problamatic for slicing soft stuff, like tomatoes. The good features are a high degree of stability and ease of adjustment for slicing. The safety is fairly high with a food holder that's generally easy to use. The brand that's tied may be more difficult to use (although it's a favorite of professionals) but it has a much sharper blade. For slicing potatoes or other firm vegetables (summer squash, carrots) the Oxo is excellent, but for soft stuff (tomatoes again) a sharp knife, a serrated edge knife, or a mandoline with a knife edge blade, would be a better choice.

High-Quality, Easy to Use, and Super Versatile
I’m really impressed with the OXO SteeL Chef's Mandoline Slicer 2.0! It’s incredibly easy and safe to use, which is a big plus if you’ve ever been intimidated by mandolines in the past. The design feels solid and well-made—definitely a quality product. What I love most is the versatility. It makes a wide variety of cuts with precision, which has seriously elevated my meal prep game. From thin slices to crinkle cuts, it handles everything effortlessly. Cleanup is a breeze too—just a quick rinse and it’s good to go. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a reliable slicer that’s both efficient and safe to handle!

POOR DESIGN: unable to clean
TL;DR: do NOT buy the OXO Chef's Mandoline Slicer 2.0 (we purchased the steel version), there is no reason that a $70 kitchen tool cannot be COMPLETELY disassembled and cleaned properly. Full story: my wife and I have owned a couple dozen OXO products over the years and have had good experiences with EVERY single one... until now. (I actually don't want to leave a one-star review for an OXO product, because until today, I have always thought that the design and utility of OXO tools was pretty good... but keep reading and you will understand why.) Upon opening the box, both my wife and I were impressed with this mandoline: it is a VERY nice-looking tool, MUCH nicer than the standard white plastic OXO mandoline which we used for years. In fact, the only reason we decided to upgrade from that mandoline was the cracking plastic on the side of the body (this was after YEARS of use, so no complaints there). Once she had used this OXO Chef's Mandoline Slicer 2.0 for the first time, it was time to clean... and that is when we both realized that this product is designed POORLY: it CANNOT be completely disassembled. The slicing blade is the only part of the mandoline which can be removed from the body, the upper bed CANNOT be removed! Where the upper bed meets the julienne blades is too small for a brush; spraying it with a high-pressure faucet wand will remove some of the food particles, but NOT all. Together, my wife and I LITERALLY spent half an hour trying to figure out how it might be disassembled for cleaning... to no avail. :( Save yourself some money and frustration: buy the white plastic OXO mandoline. It works well enough and can be COMPLETELY disassembled, which is an absolute MUST for ANY mandoline.

Very sharp and cuts well
This probably works like a dream! I love it for dehydrating apples, and Au Gratin potatoes! Beware, it’s very sharp! Don’t put your fingers in blade to grab anything; use a tool of some kind. Just turn knob to adjust size.

Oh Wow!
Why didn’t I buy this years and years ago?! I originally was going to buy a cheaper one, but some of the reviews made me think of things such as the mandolin bending if you press down on it too hard, blade going doll, fast, etc. So I decided on this brand and this particular mandolin after doing much much research! Boy, this did not disappoint! This is truly an amazing tool and should be in everybody’s kitchen. it is extremely well-made, strong, heavy duty, great features, easy cleaning, easy blade adjustments, nice color, well I could just keep going on and on. I got this on sale at Amazon for $50. You could always set a price alert on the price watch website (CamelCamelCamel) and it will alert you when the Amazon price reaches the price you specify. it also shows the price history of this product on Amazon. It would be so worth it to be a little patient and get this beauty if you’re unable to get it now. I 110% recommend this!

Poor quality, cutting surface moves
This is a pretty poor mandoline not even considering the exorbitant price. The metal panels are not secured in the plastic so they move when you press on them and while slicing. This means you do not get accurate or consistent slicing. I use it because it's what I have but it's pretty poor quality. Also somewhat hard to clean.
