Excellent item
This is a very useful item. Grinds tablets into sand like powder which means the dog can’t pick them out of her food! 😀

The best pill crusher by a mile!
I've used this type many times & it is head and shoulders better than others I've used. It breaks up pills well & because of the design will crush them to a fine powder if necessary. This is because there is contact between both upper & lower grinding surfaces & nowhere for the larger bits to hide. Works a bit like a pestle & mortar. There is also a handy storage pot built into the lid. Excellent little tool & very good price.

very effective
Works surprisingly well I had low expectations when I saw it but was pleasantly surprised when it really did work and crush the pill with little effort

Not so good for smaller tablets
I really wanted to be impressed with these, but I wasn't. We had to give our cat antibiotics, which came in pill form. They were quite small pills, but she refuses to swallow ANY pill, so the obvious answer was to crush them and add them to her food. The crushing action was great, but almost too great. Perhaps it was because the pills were quite small, but the resulting powder spread right up inside the top of the device, all up inside the area that does the actual crushing. Very little was left in the well at the bottom. So much so that I wasn't convinced that the cat received the full dose of tablet. It was pink so easy to see where the powder had spread to, but it all had to be brushed back into the bottom, well as much as could be. I reverted to the wax paper and meat tenderiser method. Perhaps they are better for bigger tablets?
