It stays on the air and when you put something it moves and touches the surface. It’s not designed properly and not good quality.

I have got quite a few items in this range, so lovely and bright. My only criticism is there are no teapots of any size. Disappointing. Take note please manufacturers.

Nice looking product.Regrettably item states that "it is not compatible for direct contact with food". This should be in the description of the item on line.Clearly if used as a spoon rest there is going to be direct contact with food via the spoons or other utensils being used in the food and then laid on it, and then used in the food again.
