Well made, robust buck-boost DC-DC converter
The Akozon Buck-Boost DC converter seems to work as claimed and the construction feels durable.I was unable to test it to its full power capability, but my two sources proved it worked well enough. The leads look a bit thin for the 6Amp rated maximum current. In the absence of any specification about its low voltage input reactions, I did not test it on load with input voltages lower than 8V.First was a bench power supply with variable output from 0V to 30V and up to 2 Amps variable current limit. The converter gave me 12.1V into 10 Ohms for an input range of 8.5V to 30V.Second was a solar panel with sun-dependant off-load output near 30V, but only about 0.75 Amps short circuit current. This gave enough power for the converter to provide a steady 12.1V into 22 Ohms (or more) regardless of the sun varying intensity.Ideally the panel should have a charge controller to feed a nominal “12V” battery, usually actually 12.5V to 14V depending on charge state, and the regulator would then smooth this out to a steady 12V, even when the battery begins to droop a bit below 12V.I did not notice it producing any interference on local sensitive devices (phone, amplifier etc) but I would expect to add a ferrite on each lead pair for an installation.

Works fine on a wide voltage range.
Arrived as described, as pictured, safe and sound. This module appears to work well and also appears to be a genuine buck boost converter. I've tested this on around 10v and got a stabilised 12v output - these are very hand for solar installations where you're running sensitive 12v devices that do not react well with wide battery voltage fluctuations and require a stabilised 12v power supply, wireless network devices such as 4G routers, IP cameras, LED lighting drivers etc. Build quality wise its excellent, with a metal heatsink entirely encases in resin, it's very heavy, heavier than most of the similar devices I've bought previously. Highly recommended.
