ASUSClique R100 Wireless Music Streamer

Bought this thinking i could stream all audio content from my phone but sadly it only allows stored music and certain pre installedmusic streaming sites which include Spotify Deezer and Napster. I have Tidal.It connects to wifi pretty quickly though but the range is limited because i hoped i could use it in the garden, the wifi connects to my phone no problem but won't connect to the Asus. In the house it works fine, i use it with an external dac and it works perfectly it's also sounds very good playing through a gettoblaster from it's own internal dac.

Half the apps are no longer available from the Play store, and those that are available don't necessarily work.For instance, it claims to support Spotify streaming, but the Spotify app won't stream to it unless you have a premium (paid) subscription. Streaming from a home server is slow and clunky and makes listening to music a less than relaxing activity.Spend a little bit more cash and get something better.

After using Sonos I began to pine for my old stereo sat up in the loft gathering dust and all it's functionality, sadly it had been relegated up there due to it's lack of streaming services - I could use bluetooth or airplay with it but tired of my battery life running out on my phone. I brought it back out of retirement and looked for solutions when I found this online....This little streamer has brought Spotify Connect (and other streaming services if required) to my otherwise fantastic stereo set-up and is an absolute doddle to set-up taking about 10 minutes in all. Couldn't be more pleased and I highly recommend it to anyone in the same position......Sonos is now in the garage, great bit of kit but lacking for me.

This device has delivered on its promise. I use my mobile phone as my only internet connection, by tethering at as a wi-fi hot-spot to access the internet with my laptop. I plugged the ASUS device into the back of my hifi amp using a 3.5 mm stereo jack to two phone plugs. Now I can stream Spotify from either my laptop or my phone to my hifi. (I wasn't sure that it would still work when using the phone as a hotspot, but it's working great).The only negative was that it took me a bit of fiddling around and a couple of goes before I got the ASUS and laptop both connected to my phone hotspot. But I didn't give up, and once I'd got it, all the settings are remembered.

Tremendous device. After months of wasted time trying to get Chromecast Audio to work properly I took a gamble to try this. What a revelation. Took seconds to set up and great audio quality. If you want wireless HiFi then this is the device especially when used with DoubleTwist CloudPlayer

good as it works with windows media player, not seen in iPlayer as a device. Could be better if accessed in all players.

Amazingly simple to set up,and superb sound quality,great for the money.
