My first thoughts upon opening the ecobee smart doorbell is that this is very sleek and modern. It was an easy install into our home. I love how the style fits our home’s aesthetic without being too bulky. The quality is top tier as the night vision allows me to see anyone who comes to the door and so clear in the daytime as well. I would highly recommend this doorbell as compared to some others this one has the best video and responsiveness when it comes to a visitor.

The media could not be loaded. I love the look of the doorbell itself. The installation was pretty easy, it took us maybe 20 minutes. The video quality is great during the day and at night. I can hear perfectly on the app as well. I love that it alerts me when someone is approaching the door. The app is very easy to use, even for my mom who isn’t very tech-savvy. I would 100% recommend this to anyone!

Right out of the box, it gives off a premium feel with a sleek, modern design and solid build quality.Installation was straightforward, especially if you’re already using Ecobee products. The doorbell integrates seamlessly with the Ecobee app and works great with Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The 1080p HD video quality is crystal clear, even at night thanks to the infrared night vision. The wide-angle lens gives a great view of your doorstep, and the motion alerts are fast and accurate.One of the standout features is how well it handles package detection and visitor recognition. Plus, the two-way audio is surprisingly clear, letting you talk to delivery drivers or guests in real time.Overall, the Ecobee Smart Doorbell is a strong contender in the smart home market. It’s stylish, reliable, and packed with features that make your home feel more secure and connected.

It gets warm the surrounding doorbell. Clean clear crisp image of camera works well and takes pictures and records. Fancy large glow door press doorbell sound . I say to install. It doesn’t tilt to the side for panorama view just stays in diagonal phone position only. Has a clean shiny black smooth surface! very sleek in design! Took a while to install and set up with making an account as well on the app! But it's alot more crisp and clear the visual camera and sound! I like how sleek and modern and easy to clean!

First Impressions: It's everything you need with included extras (angled backplate, tools) made installation easier.Installation: Guided app setup was seamless; took ~1 hour including wiring troubleshooting.Design: Modern but blends well with older homes. Missing a vinyl siding mount, which would improve aesthetics.Video Quality: Clear day & night, wide-angle lens prioritizes field of view over straight-on sharpness.Audio Quality: Crisp with ~1 sec delay; impressive range (picked up sounds from 300 ft).Motion Detection: No false alerts from birds/bugs; worked well even at max range (~20 ft).Alerts: Slight delay (~4-5 sec), could be faster.App & Smart Features: User-friendly, but lacks custom notification sounds for different alerts.Final Thoughts: Sleek design, reliable performance, solid smart home integration. Pricey but worth it for Ecobee users. Would love a vinyl mount & faster notifications.

Bottom line up front, the unit works great, but is hampered by the companies need to try to cash grab with their subscription to their “security”, as well as potential quality control issues and longevity issues. The fact that this doesn’t integrate with HomeKit secure video is an automatic 2 star max.Installed Christmas Day and the doorbell worked great for almost 6 months. Aside from the lack of HomeKit Secure Video functionality the doorbell worked great, until it didn’t. One day, I noticed I couldn’t connect to it through the app. So when I got home I took a look and it had a blue ring circling the doorbell. Followed the support steps to reset it and the reset button doesn’t do anything, at all. So I removed power and rebooted the doorbell. Same issue. So I contact support, which is complicated by being outsourced and language barriers, even through the chat. They ask me to bypass the chime adapter, verify the wiring, and transformer voltage. After that’s complete it’s after support hours so I have to contact them again during normal hours. The next support person has me repeat a lot of the same steps, requests more pictures of the equipment and wiring, as well as the transformer. Finally, after 3 days of contacting support, and 3 different support people they decide I need a replacement. To me, if a major part of the unit, the reset button, is non functional, that would indicate that something is wrong with the unit. We’ll see how the replacement does when it gets here.
