Instructions are written in Chinglish.
Motor runs very quickly - Moves lots of water very quickly. I came back and my plant was flooded. The instructions are written in poor english and it gives no guidelines as to how to set it. If you get this product, use it for a week or two before your trip and play with the settings to get them right. Then you should be fine. Don't wait, like I did, til the day you're leaving to start setting this thing up.I

If it's what you NEED, then it's what you need! I really like it.
This is for two window boxes / planters on my porch railing. I can't be trusted to remember to water! So I filled up a 5 gallon trash can with a mix of water and some miracle grow (a less concentrated mixture than recommended). I cut all the tubes, loaded the batteries - and it's been going now for well over a week. I love that it runs only on batteries - and it seems quite reliable so far. Will update if something goes wrong.Keep in mind - this is not a heavy duty system - it maxes out at 99 seconds 2x daily. So it's good for my use, but don't expect more. The fact it's entirely portable is very cool in my opinion and the unit appears to be reasonably rain proof - at least if under some cover.

What a waste of time and money (zero stars)
First, I find it interesting that many/most of the reviews here do not describe the correct product. This is a "sPlant Indoor Garden Kit" review. Not sure what the others are reviewing here.I plugged the sPlant into my USB charger and filled the sPlant with water. Nothing happened. Failing that test I tried many many times and finally was able to scan the QR code in the booklet and download the app, not from the Google store (warning: big security issue), but from a Chinese site with instructions in Chinese. I searched around for something/anything in English, and what I found was useless. Even their video was in Chinese with commercials in Chinese. I never found anything relevant to the sPlant there.I created an account for the app and logged in. The app then required me to give it additional access privileges to the Camera, but does not even explain how. Had they put the correct permissions into the app it would have just asked me a yes or no question for the permissions when installing it. The app will not even try to connect to wifi until I get the Camera permissions added somehow, and already this thing has been more trouble than it is worth. In short, the sPlant watering system does not water anything without the app connected to wiFi apparently. The light turns on by itself in the morning, mostly, but I can't tell that it's on any kind of schedule. I can't change any settings except to *manually* turn on/off the light and push the button to manually water the pot.Because of the stiffness of the sensor cable/tube the watering spout almost squirts out the front of the pot, so you have to push the sensor probe to the back, where it then tries to push all the dirt forward allowing air to get down towards the roots, if there were any, and the sensor is not completely embedded in the soil, so how accurate could it be?If this "time-saving device" what it's all about, I could have just as easily gone to get a cup of water and watered it myself and saved myself a whole lot of time and trouble in the process. I'm back to doing this the old fashioned way.

An amazing product for nature lovers like myself
sPlant Indoor Garden Kit, Self Watering Herb Planter, Smart Planter, Hydroponics LED Growing System, Sprout LED, Desk Pot, Growing Light, Smart App Remote Control, for Kitchen/Office, Father's DayGift I recently bought the sPlant GAIAA Mini (got it last week, but only today I could go to a flower shop and buy the necessary stuff). I really like the product and it is beautiful. I've planted a Begonia with red flowers. Since it is the first day of experience, I can't really tell much, but I'll be sure to update this review. What I can say in my small time of use is that I really miss the option to manually configure the light time or to choose a time zone, i.e. the app is configured to use GMT+8 - Beijing time, and I live in GMT-3, which makes an 11 hour difference and affects greatly the light time for me. I can choose from 00:00 - 14:00 to 10:00 - 24:00 (minimum and maximum adjustability), and that, converting to my time zone is 13:00 (of the day before in Beijing) - 3:00 or 23:00 (of the day before in Beijing) - 13:00. As you can see, these are terrible hours for the device to start the lighting system, unless I lock the pot in a dark room, which is not the purpose of this product. Of course, I can manually activate it, but I really wanted to test out the auto mode. Also, I think the app could contain more info about the light needs of the plant, i.e. when should I use the purple grow light (which growth phase)? Now, reviewing the detector, temperature detection seems to work well, comparing the results that printed out in the app with an actual thermometer shows almost the same temperature (a little variance of ±1°C could be noted sometimes). I still have to check the water, humidity, and nutrients detector. Although I've added a soluble fertilizer to the substrate today, and the app prints no difference in nutrients level (it still shows just 1 "star" out of 5), which makes me a little nervous, is the plant good or did I do something wrong? These are a few suggestions that I respectfully direct towards the team behind the sPlant GAIAA Mini product. Again, I really enjoy this product and do not regret buying it at all. Being able to plant beautiful flowers while being someone that is almost all day out of home is rewarding. I highly recommend this product to anyone that does not have time and also love nature!Edit: After a day of testing the water detection seems to always indicate 5 of 5 and the nutrients still indicate 1 of 5. Maybe this is a glitch or maybe the nutrients are indeed really low, and maybe the auto mode is taking care of the watering, hence the app always shows 5 of 5. Although the light time isn't good for my time zone, I am turning it on manually at 6 AM and turning it off after 14 hours. I might turn off the auto mode to check if the water indicator prints something different. Some of my begonia flowers are developing blackish margins (I think it was already like this when I bought the plant). Through some quick research, I found that it might indicate that the flowers are getting ready to fall off (or it might be a disease). The recommendation was to cut off these flowers before it falls to prevent other flowers from falling, so I've cut them off. Some petals were also developing some transparent spots, and I don't know if it is a disease or nutrient/water deficiency. I'll also try a fertigation strategy and see if the app shows something different after a while. The soluble fertilizer says I need to apply the solution every 15 days, but I will correct the dose for 300 ml and refill the water tank when needed. Instead of turning off auto mode I can always check the water level on the tank, so I guess I'll do that because it is easier. I'll be posting some photos later, but for now, I guess that's it.

Love them!!!!
These irigation kits work great, I set mine on max 99 and .5, to water twice a day. I use Duracell batteries and they last over 2 months. I work out of town and am gone from home a lot, before my plants would be in bad shape when I got back home, not anymore! I love these things and you cant beat the price. There customer service is also great, I highly recommend these irrigation kits!

Junk
We tried this for a trip, though we were fairly certain it wouldn't work.We followed the instruction to setup interval watering. The pump came on and shut off after a few seconds. No lights stayed on.We came back from trip and the line filter had rusted out, the plants were dry.
