At first, I didn't think it was going to work very well for coating the candy I was using. The candy just seemed to stay at the bottom corner while the rest of cylinder turned. However, after I spritzed the candy and added some powder flavoring that I was trying to coat them with...it began to move and tumble over just like it should. I think it just needed a little traction on the inside to start tumbling the candy properly. I used to toss the candy over and over again in a big bowl and always made a huge mess because the powder went everywhere, no matter how careful I was. This is a game changer! No powder mess and the attachment does all the work. Very excited to try out even more things in this now!

What a disappointment. This item arrived with a broken seal, and the angle block is missing. It is of no use without the angle block. I expect a replacement angle block to be sent to me.

Update: contacted the company, that the bearing didn't fit. They sent another bearing promptly that fits.My daughter loves her new kitchen gadet!Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She has a 5 qt artisan KitchenAid mixer. Will not fit, the bolt doesn't fit. I am so disappointed and upset!

I’ve been making keto chocolates for a month or so. I’ve been wanting to try chocolate/candy coated nuts, fruits, too. This accessory seemed so cool, but only for tilt head Kitchen Aide mixers. Well, if all KA power hubs accept all power hub accessories, I should just have to tilt my bowl-lift mixer's front at the appropriate angle… Well, a thick piece of styrofoam and large bath towel later,- voilà! It worked! Alas, my chocolate did not, as it seized when I added the vanilla… I didn’t keep trying, though, and just remelted it, adding finely chopped nuts and dried fruits, spreading it on parchment paper to solidify. My family loved the resulting keto chocolate scrabble. Other reviewers said it takes some finesse to coat goodies successfully, certainly true in my case. Four star rating was for MY failings, not the accessory’s.

I love it! Haven't actually used it yet, but unboxed and attached to my 3.5 QT tilt-head KitchenAid. Although the panning attachment is tiny (~2 cup unfinished product capacity), it is perfect for my needs as a home enthusiast and would probably be nice for a pro to do test batches.

I was really excited to try this. I did almonds with dark chocolate, and before I added the chocolate the almonds just hugged the bottom and didn't want to jostle around like they were ready to be coated. Adding the chocolate didn't go as expected, either, as the almonds and the chocolate now just clumped and stuck to the back. Adding powder sugar got them to start to unstick and jostle as expected. But there were too many clumped together.

I’ve got a 5qt mixer but the attachment piece doesn’t go in all the way. Now it’s stuck so I can’t even return that piece. Hopefully I don’t destroy the mixer trying to get it out.
