We ordered one of these lamps, and the heating element burst,,, like literally went POP and the top of the lid popped in the air and fell back down on the glass, then the power cord would not turn on or off. I had to unplug it where I lifted the globe off and it was smoking.. actually smoke, & you could see the melted wires sticking out… okay I returned it, and got a new one. This new one the mixture of liquid and wax is not correct and it does not flow, the slimed to the side of the glass and is stuck like that. Just go a different route than this one .

It’s colorful and looks like a lava lamp except you can’t pick the color you want, it rotates thru the colors and it’s tiny. I didn’t realize how much smaller than a traditional lava lamp this was! It’s ok for the money. But if I would purchase another one I’d look for one that was bigger

I only want to write honest reviews. So this lamp didn't even last a year. I think it made it about six months? Maybe. While it was working, it was phenomenal! I loved watching everything float through and the way the colors changed -- I bought the one with different colors on the wheel beneath the lamp. But soon, something happened and the color illumination function no longer worked. I was watching bland white blobs of wax float around. And eventually -- too soon for me -- it appeared the heating element no longer functioned properly. Setting the two pieces together was easy. It was the right height for my office. And I was mesmerized watching it -- while it worked. It just didn't last long enough. I tried to see if I could find a warranty on it or reach out to the seller or something. And I wasn't successful at the time. That was months ago. Maybe things have changed for new buyers. I hope this is helpful.

Only had it 2 days but it works as intended. Fun for elementary child. Makes a great nightlight. Has an ofln/off position switch (not a toggle through switch), allowing you to connect to an Alexa plug (additional purchase) to put in a timer/schedule) Does take 2 hours to fully heat up and give the true lava effect so keep that in mind when setting a schedule for it if using the Alexa plug. Does get a bit warm, like any lava lamp does. Will update review if quality of item changes.
