Wonderful flavor
I have been brewing kombucha for years now, and I have found that using dried herbs for flavoring can be quite hit or miss. I love the lavender flavored kombuchas I can get at the store, but I have never been successful using dried lavender in my home brews. This blend has the perfect amount of lavender. Its enough that I can definitely taste it, but it isn’t overpowering and soapy. The kombucha I made with this has a lovely earthy and floral flavor with just the tiniest hint of blueberry. I wish it had a bit more blueberry flavor though. The second time I used this I added a couple of mashed up fresh blueberries to each bottle, and the flavor was perfect. It doesn’t have enough sugar to use on its own. The instructions say to use a tsp of sugar for each bottle to improve carbonation. I followed the instructions, and I got wonderfully fizzy results. The main downside to using dried herbs in the bottling process is that they float to the top of the bottle. It clogs it up a bit when I am pouring the kombucha out, and it does tend to make a mess. I also don’t like the added step of having to strain my kombucha when I am pouring it into a glass. That being said, the flavor is worth it to me. I really like the floral notes of the lavender. This is also so convenient to have on hand. I make kombucha every week, and there have been so many times that I didn't have fresh fruit or juice to use as flavoring. This is handy to have when I don't have fresh ingredients.

Amazing flavor for kombucha!
I have been brewing my own kombucha for a bit now, and I am always on the lookout for a new flavor. You use these kits in the second brewing, as they are for flavor only. Most of the time I do fruit or mango but wanted to try a different flavor and wow was I impressed! It has a herbal, almost earthly flavor to it with the lavender and a hint of blueberry. It also colored my kombucha a lovely teal color. I was very impressed and I will be checking out some more of these flavors! Maybe this will give me a push to try water kefir next.

SImple and natural ingredients
This Fermentaholics Organic Indigo Daydream Brew Blends contains three simple natural ingredients: Organic blueberries, lavender and moringa leaf. I found the lavender is over powering and impossible to taste the blueberries. The quality of the ingredients seem to be very good, and clean, not too much fine dust particles.

Fermentaholics Organic Indigo Daydream Brew Blends: Secondary Fermentation Flavoring
I'm reviewing Fermentaholics Organic Indigo Daydream Brew Blends: Secondary Fermentation Flavoring. I've been brewing my own green tea kombucha for 5 years now, but I've been lazy about flavoring it in the second fermentation stage. I've been using the same recipe I found that was easy, to add turmeric, cinnamon, and ginger powder when I bottle. It's good as is, but I would love some variety without added work! I was thrilled to come across this secondary fermentation flavoring. It was as easy as adding this mix according to the instruction to the bottles, letting them sit for few days, and that's it. It's quite hot now (it's August at the time of this review) so I moved the bottles to the refrigerator earlier. it added a teal-ish tint to my kombucha. The combination of blueberries, lavender, and moringa leaf added a fruity-floral-green flavoring. Very tasty! I'm so happy now that I have another 'lazy' way to add flavor variety to my kombucha.

Nice fresh herbal falvor
I've only tried kombucha a few times. I loved it, but it's expensive. When I saw this mix I got excited and ordered it before reading the description. As the description clearly states, this is only for flavoring kombucha. At the moment I have neither the supplies nor the know-how to make kombucha, so I used this to infuse water instead.. I let it sit in the refrigerator for two days before straining it. The flavor is very herbal. I can taste the lavender and the blueberry. I'm also getting a sort of earthiness. . It's nice. This could be used for infusing oil or vinegar as well. Tonight I'm going to use it to make a nice relaxing cup of tea. This of course would be perfect for favoring kombucha, but why stop there?

Fun merging of flavors
This Indigo Daydream version of the Brew Blends by Fermentaholics (great name for the company) is super easy to use by just following the directions on the bag. Adding a couple of teaspoons to your Kombucha you then have the object to let it ferment for awhile or in some cases I just drink it right away. This flavor combination includes blueberries, lavender and moringa leaf. The taste is unusual with just a little bit of bitterness. I ended up adding a bit of honey to bring some balance to the brew. A fun product.

Works fine, but not my cup of tea. Not a flavor profile I like.
The product works fine and it has good ingredients. I just wasn't thrilled with the flavor profile. I would have liked more or a stronger blueberry flavor. That being said, I used it with homemade organic water kefir. I normally ferment my kefir WITH a flavor, such as home grown organic berries. But this product advised doing the two-day ferment, and then transferring to pressure bottles after adding some of this product. What I didn't realize until just as I added it to the bottles, was that with it being a product that's just crushed, dried leaves and such, it was going to be floating in the water kefir and I'd have to strain it before drinking.Anyway, strained and drank it after a one day ferment (to taste), then did the remaining bottles for a full two-day ferment. Not a flavor that I really liked, but the product did work as described.
