I've done a prolific amount of artwork over the last 30 years.The only area I was hesitant to to experiment was with resin. After ravaging through endless articles and blogs, and yes You tube videos, I decided to purchase this product. I usually don't like to waste words, but I've have to face the fact that the product is brilliant. Whilst doing a very elaborate diorama river, I feel like I've been catapulted into the art world of resin! my findings can be summarized as follows;PRO's:1. Providing you use the injection and cups provided to the correct ratio's you get a crystal clear product. I chose to buy the full set with the inks to give a watery color/tinge to my water. I.e. mixing ratios (descending) 500ml resin to 10ml catalyst, 400ml to 8ml, 300ml to 6ml etc. This is key to getting the product to settle like rock. Always dispose of beaker and mixing spatula after use as a thorough mix with the ratio is KEY.2. Final product looks crystal clear with minimal bubbles.3. Polyester resin is about one third cheaper than the same amount of epoxy resin.4. The inks work perfectly -2-3 drops worked well for me.5. 5 litres of resin should last a very long time!! I can't emphasize how much you get out of this purchase, worth every penny in my estimation. Very pleased as first time usage of this product has6. This product works well with acrylic and Modge Podge glue to create tiny scale wave effects on the water (resin) surface (watch You Tube videos for some awsome work).CONS:1. Smell is too strong. It's best to let the product dry in open air and then store overnight in a shed or outer house. Otherwise you risk a complete evacuation of your home will ensue (leaving family members to flee!). Having said this the pong 95% clears up in a 24hr period, I found.2. Mixing ratio's are key to polyester resins.3. The product arrived super fast. Cannot fault the supplier -full marks!! :)

It arrived early. However there was no syringe. so measuring the catalyst was difficult. My mum wanted the flower she wore to my sisters wedding encased in resin. since i had no syringe i had eyeballed it. turns out too much catalyst, is too much. resin heats up. this burst into flames in the plastic container i was using as a mold. luckily it was pouring down outside and there was a bucket of water. i ended up getting resin on my skin. wasting nearly 1 jug of the stuff and wrecking the flower in the fire.use caution and find a syringe.

This particular resin has a very strong chemical odor and needs to be used and cured in a well ventilated place. I have found it very difficult to use over the winter period as my workshops are unheated and it doesn't cure very well, but it cures perfectly if I bring it into the house but it stinks the place out. So if you are considering it I would suggest only summer usage.The resin itself gives a lovely gloss finish and is very hard when cured. It takes colour easily and mixes well.

Excellent product at a great price.Overall it's lovely and clear. Very few issues with bubbles. I found it easy to mix with good instructions included.The only downside is the smell. Oh my goodness does it stink!I have been forced to store my casts in the garage because it makes even the dogs run off.It leaves a long lasting smell on the silicone molds too.But... if you can get past that then this is very cost effective. Ive made some great items with it so far, including a batch of glow in the dark Tesseracts just in time for the new Avengers release. Enjoy.

Perfect! I ordered the 1kg bottle, with colours, as had never ordered through this company before.I'm really pleased - the solutions mix well and cure beautifully. Will definitely order more from here when the time comes.

This is something that I have used repeatedly over the last couple of years. It is never recommended to use too much hardener in the epoxy as it can crack and shrink when it dries out and pull itself away from the frame etc that you are pouring it in.However, after mixing this product at the recommended rates it has not hardened fully and remains a little tacky even after 6-8 weeks after use. This has completely ruined the product I have made - a table top and the associated wood - as I will have to drill and break it out. Far from ideal and would be cautious about using this brand again.

...very helpful. Had a few problems with leaking bottle but they have been very helpful and active in regards to responding quickly.Happy with the product. It is very strong in regards to smell (which goes once cured) . But YOU MUST WEAR A MASK and use in A WELL VENTILATED ROOM. I did have a little problem with stickyness after curing but I think that’s becasue I underestimated the ratio quantity.I will buy again.(Only rated 4 because I didn’t expect how strong the smell would be)
