ADJUST THE WIRE TO MAKE IT WORK CORRECTLY/BETTER
THE RIVET IS SUPPOSED TO FIT AGAINST THE BACK OF THE BLADE FLAT SO THAT IT EVENTUALLY SQUEEKS. SINCE THE WIRE IS NOT BENT AT 90 DEGREES, ONLY THE SIDE OF THE RIVET TOUCHES THE BLADE. I HAVE BEEN MAKING LURES FOR OVER 50 YEARS. I USE A ROUND NOSE PLIERS TO ROUND THE WIRE IN A LOOP. (YES, TAKES SOME WRIST STRENGTH). I THEN PINCH THE RIVET AGAINST THE WIRE AND MAKE SURE RIVET AND BACK OF BLADE ARE SQUARE. YOU WILL BE MUCH HAPPIER WITH YOUR PURCHASE. THIS IS TRUE FOR ALMOST ALL COMMERCIAL MADE LURES EXCEPT MINE.
