Bostitch BT1855/SX1838 Nailer Replacement Head Valve Body # 180450-S

Repaired my 10+ year old Bostitch BT-1855 Brad nailer with this part and I was ready to go again. The symptom that led me to research this component was that my nailer just blew air out of the exhaust port with the air hose attached. As you can see in the picture, the original one had cracked over time allowing air to pass by.

My nailer is almost 10 years old. It sits in a cabinet in my garage, in it's case, and has been used only a handful of times in it's life. I went to use it recently and it leaked air. Opening it up, I found this part had broken into pieces around the hole. I found this item, ordered it, and had my nailer working like new. I was even able to use the existing o-rings. Just remember how it all fits back together. I had to find an exploded view of the nailer. I thought I knew, but between taking it apart, ordering the part and waiting for delivery, I forgot. The exploded view reminded me perfectly.

Ordered this replacement head valve body in the hopes it would fit my BOSTITCH 18 gauge brad nailer (model# SB-1859BN), even thought it wasn't listed on the compatibility list. Thankfully BOSTITCH didn't change the cylinder head size between models and it was a snug fit with the existing o-rings. Happy with the purchase and glad I didn't have throw away my almost 20 year old brad nailer.

I couldn't find my 18ga 14in Craftsman 351.18367 staple gun listed anywhere much less get parts for it until I found these reviews. This Bostitch replacement part is an exact match for what I needed. Less than five minutes to take the head off the staple gun, clean out the old broken parts and install the new one. Works like new. O-rings and gaskets are not included but sold separately. I didn't need them. This saved my day and saved a good staple gun from the garbage can.

Worked great as an aftermarket replacement for the gasket in the old Craftsman brad nailer. This great old solid tool is working beautifully again. Shot test two brad nails without issue, no air leaks made sure to completely clean out old grease and put a thin layer of 3-in-1 and now I shouldn’t have to open this tool again for a long long time. Thanks to having this piece available on here I don’t have to replace a perfectly great tool, and the price of this part and some oil is way better than $100 for a new nailer!

I had torn apart the whole unit and missed this part being damaged, when i removed the old one it had a small section missing holding the o-ring, this fixed the problem now all works fine. I was so close to throwing it away but this was the best 6 dollars i ever spent

Fast delivery and reasonable price and best of all this is what I needed to fix my Bostitch Air Stapler/nailer SB 2IN1 (an obsolete model). Don’t forget to transfer both o-rings from the old valve body ( I did not on the first try, and had to undo everything to correct my omission).

Considering it's a Tradesman Brad Nail gun, and it is no longer in production. I really hoped it would fit, was thinking of grinding it down but the spring does not fit either, so I returned the item and gave this a 4 star review.
