The Big Bed

My toddler and I think this book is hilarious.

I don't have kids, but my sister does, and I have been trying to buy books for them so I have entertainment when I go to babysit. So if a cute-looking kids book shows up on my radar I always take a look. And I have to say this book was just SO cute. I loved the pictures. They are incredibly detailed (speaking from my limited experience with kids books), and very colorful. Adorable story as well.And my favorite line: "Delicate question: Is it the pee-pee? I looked it up online and you'll be thrilled to know that my tinkles are harmless. There are actually many benefits to waking up damp from liquid waste."Yeah, I laughed at that one for a long time. And also the reasons our daring protagonist came up with! I think my niece and nephews will love this :)

Such a funny cute kids books! More for older kids in my opinion. Ages 4 & up.

It may cause temporary issues with your child wanting to sleep in “the big bed” but once you get passed that it’s just a funny family inside joke. She loves this book and threatens to put us on a cot if we misbehave. Daughter is 4.

I love Bunmi"s adult writings, so when I saw she'd written a children's book, I had to buy it. I was not disappointed. I laughed so hard when I first read it. The story is great, the main character is adorable, and the pictures are really nicely done. My children and my husband also enjoyed it, although maybe they related to it a bit too much. I woke up this morning being snuggled by both children while the husband was muttering something about the sheets being stolen.

I have an almost 5 year old who has been transitioning out of my bed. We have been using many of the tactics listed in the book (buy you new sheets, you can come back in the morning, daddy will move you to your bed after you fall asleep) so my husband, daughter and I all related to the story. The illustrations are beautiful and it is the kind of book that can go into a memory box.I was, however, disappointed with two pages that I felt messed with the flow of the story and were completely unnecessary.. (the pee pee pages). It just made us all cringe... and was definitely not relatable.I just skip those pages in the story because I don't like reading it.. the story sounds wonderful without it.I chose not to knock off one star for those two pages because of the joy it brought to my daughters face. It really is a wonderful book that I HIGHLY recommend. I enjoy reading it to her, she enjoys reading it to me from her point of view... we LOVE it!

I love this book! It is so adorable!

Very funny and charming book about a young girl trying to convince her parents that the "Big" bed isn't big enough for the three of them. So, Dad needs to go, or at least he needs to sleep in something else next to the bed. The illustrations are colorful and pair very well to the witty text. I love how the little girl presents her arguments in such a logical and official manner. I could do without all the pee-pee stuff, but I still think this makes for a humorous bedtime story for parents and children alike. (less)

This is one of the funniest children's book I've read and my younger sister (6yrs old) loves it. It's a must buy especially for the mamas who who are always bringing their babies in bed or falling asleep when putting their babies in their bed. It's relatable, cute and a good laugh. You will not be disappointed 😌

Very entertaining tale of slumber based negotiations! Wonderful to see protagonists that look like my family!!

My 6 year old and I love this funny book. I was so happy to see a children's book by this author as I have always loved her adult ones. We laughed out loud many times. Definitely a keeper.

I absolutely love this book! It is so cute and clever and just funnt. . My daughter is a little young to understand it, but I knew I had to buy it for her “library” of books for the future.
